Commercial Description:
Expect this beer to pour the deapest black body topped by an opulent head of lip smacking foam. Roasted chocolate and toasted caramel notes brim over the top. Lavish spice aromas of clove and cinnamon are promoted naturally by the yeast we import especially for this most individual of brews.

Courtesy TheCheeseMan. Dark brown-black color, thin broken off-white head. Slight grainy aroma, hint of tasted malts. Sweeter overall taste, almost a chalky texture, not overly wheaty in nature, but subtle.

12 oz, thanks cmubeerman via sersdf. Dark brownish amber color. Malty the way a dunkel should be. dark fruit, musty and slightly earthy. bubbly, light chocolaty sweetness. definitely good for the style.

Bottle. I will agree best dunkel-weizen I’ve had. Pours a near black body with a tan head. Loads of smoked malt, liquid smoke, peat and some refined berry character in the background. Chewy and full bodied even at under 6%. Very nice brew, well crafted to style.

Bottles from WI that the wife bought to have at tasting & another for myself. Aroma is root beer, spicy cinnamon and some roasted wheat. Black body with good tan head with lacing. Flavor is roasted wheat grain, some spice and carbonation in the mix. Has a roasted wheat grain aftertaste with a mild sweetness, an intriging beer. Another great one from NG!!

12oz bottle from Woodman’s in Madison. Pours dark brown with tan head. Porter like. Aroma is burnt and chocolate malte, wheat, and banana. Flaovr is smoked and chocolate malt, chocolate, wheat and banana. Really smooth palate and perfect carbonation and the chocolate really shines with the wheat. Really good brew and thumbs up to NG for thinking outside the box and doing something new.

Bottle shared by bockyhorsey at hellbilly’s holiday tasting. Dark cloudy pour with a creamy tan head. Aroma of smoky burnt popcorn, wheat and banana. Flavor of smoky grain, chocolate, tobacco, banana and spice. Creamy on the palate. Another fantastic NG wheat brew. Thanks Bill!

Thanks KI9A. A very dark brown beer with a nice thick 2 finger head that never disappears and leaves some thick lacing. Aroma is cocoa and the flavor is as well. Light caramel and wheat notes. This is delightfully easy to drink and feels very smooth in the mouth. New Glarus does such great things with wheat. This is another example.

12oz bottles shared by Bockyhorsey at hellbilly’s holiday tasting. Pours almost black with a creamy grayish tan head. The nose is smoke, roasted wheat and light banana esters. The taste is sour wheat, cocoa and light smoke. Medium bodied – good stuff. Thanks Bill!
