Commercial Description:
Expect this beer to pour the deapest black body topped by an opulent head of lip smacking foam. Roasted chocolate and toasted caramel notes brim over the top. Lavish spice aromas of clove and cinnamon are promoted naturally by the yeast we import especially for this most individual of brews.

12 fl oz bottle, RBSG2009. Pour hazy dark brown with a small off-white head. Roasted and breadish malt aroma with a distinct estery fruity note and mild spiced. Bitter and dry flavoured, minor estery fruity note coming through. Bitter, slight acidic and vague wheaty/breadish malty sweet finish.

Bottle shared at Lithy’s Septemberfest tasting. Very dark clear brown pour with medium bubble sized brown head. Nose of sweet banana and vanillla. Flavor is very similar. Pretty good actually.

The Dan Journal #257. Tasted 3/28/09. 12oz bottle. Opaque and pitch. Ring of beige head. Aromas of citrus, bnanana, and caramel. Medium bodied with a very nice dark, burnt grain bill. Flavors and caramel with a bitterness from the yeast. Orange zest and mildly perfumy. Great palate. Zesty effervescence. Mild finish with subtle raspberry esters. This is the style personified. Great roll within the palate. This is really good! This sets a standard.

Aroma is wheaty, banana, belgian yeastiness. Taste is sweet, creamy banana, and more creamy wheatiness. Yeah, that dense. Overall, a nice wheat beer, but not a standout.
