| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Feb 25, 2009 Thanks nbutler11 for the bonus! Pours dark allows light around the edges. The head is two fingers thick creamy and light tan. The nose is sweet, toffee, caramel, very much like a dark rich brown ale on the nose, coffee comes in nicely. The flavor tastes exactly like the coffee flavor in coffee ice cream, awesome. Mildly roasty, nice flavor, coffee begins to lend some bitterness, bakers chocolate, toffee. Palate is roasty with a mild bitterness. Taverner (886), San Ramon, California, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 4, 2009 Rich dark brown pour with a light tan two finger head. Good lacing. Sweet cocoa aroma with a hint of coffee and some dark fruit. The coffee comes through a bit more in the taste and lingers slightly in the finish. Cocoa is still present as is the dark fruit. There is an odd sweetness in the middle of this. From the description I thought the coffee would be much more prominent, it is there but not "deep."
