Commercial Description:
Hearty and satisfying, our Coffee Stout is the ultimate full-bodied brew. Wisconsin water, roasted malts, and imported hops are the natural ingredients we use to brew this bier. Then cold pressed organic coffee from Just Coffee Co-op is infused into the brew. Expect this bier to pour a deep creamy head over an ebony rich body. Notice the powerful malt bouquet balanced by a spectrum of extravagant flavor. Served at room temperature this Wisconsin Coffee Stout is guaranteed to warm even the coldest heart.

bottle courtesy of IowaHerkeye. Thanks!
Pours black with a light tan head. Hangs around for a bit. Smell is nice and dark roasty malt and some moderate strength coffee. Some creaminess in the nose as well. Taste is well balanced between creamy milkiness, roasty malt, and coffee with an almost hazlenut flavor to it. Very drinkable with a nice rich body on it for a sweet stout. Appropriate carbonation. This is a solid sweet stout.

Bottle. A almost black beer with a hint of red, and a beige head. The aroma and taste is light roasted, dusty and of coffee. Medium body with a dry finish.

This one pours a deep, dark chocolate brown that shows nearly black. A small, spongy tan head settles to a thin layer, leaving behind random flares of lacing. The aroma is pure roasted coffee beans and cream, with unexpected notes of roasted peanut butter and oak. The flavor is roasty all the way. Coffee and cream dominate, with woodsy oak playing second fiddle. The peanuts are present deep in the background, but they serve as more of an afterthought. The medium body is about as smooth and creamy as it gets, with perfect carbonation levels. This does not resemble a sweet stout to me. This is a dry, regular stout with no traces of preeminent sweetness. The cream component is massive, adding immense smoothness to this heavily roasty brew. I’m not a coffee drinker, but I couldn’t help but enjoy this brew. Solid.

Bottle, thanks to TomDecapolis! Pours a translucent blackish brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of coffee beans, and a little of the stoutish coffee. Medium-light body and light carbonation, more in line with a dry stout. Roasty malt and coffee flavor, with some side trips into the vanilla and nut territory. Lightly bitter finish.

12 oz bottle. Poured dark with a slight amber hue with a quickly diminishing white head. Smooth creamy coffee taste a bit over roasted but not bad. The coffee lingers for a while in the resiny smooth finish.
