Feb 25, 2007 12 ounce bottle. Pours brown but appears black in the glass. Lovely whitish brown foam. Not the greatest nose, but what flavor! Underlying fruits (banana, plum), along with hints of chocolate, cocoa and of course, coffee. Loads of espresso. This beer just seemed more refined and complex than the average coffee stout.

Feb 25, 2007 12 oz bottle. Poured a dark dark brown color with ruby highlights. Head was bubbly and off white with good retention and lacing. Smelled of coffee, dark chocolate, and brown sugar. Dry up front with some roasty bitterness at the end. Tastes of toasted bread, light coffee, subdued vegetal hops, and toffee. Interesting.

Feb 24, 2007 12 Oz bottle from Pantanap! Nose of coffee, and roasted malts; Brown with a medium tan head; Body medium with a tiny bit of hops in the finish; flavor shows coffee, some sweet caramel, and a little chcolate. Good sweet stout!

Aroma has a nice coffeed-up sweet molassesy malt body.
Nice sweet coffee flavor. Malty brown sugared body.
Nice all-around balanced coffee stout. It isn’t huge, but it doesn’t need to be, and it has great flavor.

Feb 17, 2007 Bottle: Pours a dark brown color, near black with light tan head and nice lacing. Nose of briht licorice and roast, come cream and coffe and sweet starchy burnt bread crust. The flavor is clean, nicely hoppy and a pleasant roast in the background, less chocolate. The roast is nice, sweet rich with coffe. Nice finish, full body. Feb 17, 2007 Bottle - 600th Rating!: Dark brown with a tan head. Medium coffee grounds aroma with other sweet verities like vanilla and creamer. Coffee flavors abound along with soil, organic walnuts, and a little cardboard. It has a nice glossy feel with a well balanced aftertaste. Thanks BuckeyeBoy for sharing this midwest gem.

Feb 17, 2007 Bottle Pours a dark brown/black with a small light tan head. Coarse lacing. Soft roasted, and coffee and chocolate aroma. Nice balanced combination. Flavor is coffee and chcolate mainly. Some slightly astringent roasted bi\tterness later. LIghtly hopped and fairly thin feel. Soft carbonation. Nice flavors. Thanks Buckeyeboy
