Hearty and satisfying, our Coffee Stout is the ultimate full-bodied brew. Wisconsin water, roasted malts, and imported hops are the natural ingredients we use to brew this bier. Then cold pressed organic coffee from Just Coffee Co-op is infused into the brew. Expect this bier to pour a deep creamy head over an ebony rich body. Notice the powerful malt bouquet balanced by a spectrum of extravagant flavor. Served at room temperature this Wisconsin Coffee Stout is guaranteed to warm even the coldest heart.

Dark brown coloured. Nice coffee aroma. Roasty and malty flavour with coffeeish notes. Unfortunately it is slightly thin in the finish.

10.20.04 12oz bottle. Quite dark, nearly opaque brown color with biege head that quickly fades. Aromas are light coffee and lots of roasted nuts - dark and burnt nuts - and dark, burning caramel. Very nice hop bite up from and then a long, slow, coating, smooth coffee middle. Quick coffee finish. Aftertaste is also quite coffeeish. The roasting is very nice and hop balance is just right so as to compliment, but not overshadow the malts. The front and back also are a bit lighter, somewhat lively on the palate...the middle is all soft coffee goodness. I like it. It could be more bold in its hop assertiveness, or more creamy front to back, but it’s very good.

i think this is a very good stout and like the Oscars it is just short of being great. nice dark opaque black body with appealing thick tan head. wonderful coffee and roasted nut aroma that is apparent in the body but could use a little more kick...i think i needed to let it warm a bit more as well. chewy body with a nice balance of bitterness. hopefully they tweek a bit and make this an outstanding stout.

(Bottle) Pours a black body with a small off-white head that diminishes quickly. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel and a hint of coffee. Flavor is sweet with a hint of coffee. Creamy, somewhat bitter palate. Thanks Dave!

Deep amber brown with thick mocha head. Sweet and sour nose with soy, coffee, chocolate and roasted malts making up the nose. Medium weight with a nice sparkle on the tongue and a light bitter dry finish. Coffee, smoke, cherry, soy sauce, and other flavors lurking in the darkness. The finish is refreshing in a heavey sort of way...Awesome!

First of all, this is a very appealing label - most all of the New Glarus labels are pretty cool, actually, But this one seems to to a great job of evoking a sort of 1950’s coffee shop. The actual beer dark brown with reddish hints and a thin tan head. Aroma of coffee (duh) and smoke. Palate initiall seems thick, but thins out rather quickly. Flavors of coffee, smoke, and a slightly spicy finish. Thanks to Marinaro500 for this trade!

Dark brown body, airy light tan head. Coffee is dominating in the aroma with some roasted malt also. Also coffee in the flavor with a tone of citrus. Quite thin and watery.

A pitch black beer with a small disappearing light brown head. The aroma is of roasted malt and coffee, and so is the flavor, before it ends on a dry note from the roasted malt. Surprisingly thin body.
