Commercial Description:
Copper Kettle Weiss is designed in the traditional style of a dark wheat beer. Rich malt flavors are accentuated through our complicated decoction mash and finally balanced with select Hallertau hops.

Bottled. An unclear orange beer with a fast disappearing orange head - surprisingly fast disappering considering it’s a wheat beer. The aroma is quite sharp with notes of caramel, wheat, plastic, and light notes of alcohol. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of wheat and caramel. The body is quite filling.

It´s hard to find a good Hefeweizen or Dunkelweizen outside of Germany, and this is not one of them. Bottle. Light hazy orange colour with a white head. Sweet floral, wheat and fruit "banana" aroma and taste. Medium body with a sweet finish.

12oz bottle acquired in multiple trades. Poured a medium and slightly hazy amber/orange color with a huge sized off white head. Aromas of yeast, bananas, cloves, and wheat. Tastes of wheat, light bananas (fruity), yeast, and a trace of spices. Medium to higher carbonation.

Bottle... Over carbonated, but not oxidized. Murky, golden ale with a huge, rocky, off-white head. Yeasty, fruity nose with clove and smoke phenols; bubblegum and banana esters. Well-bittered for near-perfect balance. Beefy, smoky flavor with lots of fruity esters and spicy phenols. Medium-bodied and fizzy. Crisp, lightly spicy and smoky finish. Thanks to Monger for shipping this brew my way! Quality beer, but not a favorite style of mine.

Sampled on 9/30/06: Pours a cloudy orange amber with a large, frothy cream-colored head. Has a rich, sweet, authentic bready German yeastiness and good banana clove balance. Body starts sweet and wheaty with a nice spicy clove and fruity banana balance. Good authenticity, full-body and enjoyable. Too bad it doesn’t age well. Best enjoyed fresh.
