An unclear orange beer with a fast disappearing orange head - surprisingly fast disappering considering it’s a wheat beer. The aroma is quite sharp with notes of caramel, wheat, plastic, and light notes of alcohol. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of wheat and caramel. The body is quite filling. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 26, 2006 Bottle... Over carbonated, but not oxidized. Murky, golden ale with a huge, rocky, off-white head. Yeasty, fruity nose with clove and smoke phenols; bubblegum and banana esters. Well-bittered for near-perfect balance. Beefy, smoky flavor with lots of fruity esters and spicy phenols. Medium-bodied and fizzy. Crisp, lightly spicy and smoky finish. Thanks to Monger for shipping this brew my way! Quality beer, but not a favorite style of mine. CaptainCougar (5534), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Has a rich, sweet, authentic bready German yeastiness and good banana clove balance. Body starts sweet and wheaty with a nice spicy clove and fruity banana balance. Good authenticity, full-body and enjoyable. Too bad it doesn’t age well. Best enjoyed fresh.
