| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 24, 2009 German-style hefe if there was one but the yeast character is too much for my tastes. Big clove, cinnamon character with little to balance it out. Like dipping your nose into a spice jar, which is not the kind of experience I wish to equate with beer drinking. coharahawk (87), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 21, 2009 12 oz bottle. I’m not sure why I haven’t gotten around to rating this yet. Pours a hazy gold with large, frothy white head that leaves abundant lacing as it fades. The nose has huge amount of banana and cloves with some other fruity esters as well as wheat. Flavors are much the same with some added candy sugar and a luscious mouthfeel. Goes down oh so smoothly. Alcohol is not really noticeable. One of my favorite hefes. triguy84 (69), Fitchburg, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 20, 2009 Nice wheat beer. I prefer the cloudy hefe style, but medium gold color and a nice white head. I experienced the banana-clove aroma and flavor. No hop aroma, very little hop bitterness. joet (1709), Fulton, California, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 16, 2009 Bottle - Pours clear amber with a massive white head. Smells like a spicy, sweet banana. The taste I’m not that crazy about--it’s all wheat and spice, but nothing out of the ordinary. It’s smooth and medium bodied. This beer looks and smells so much better than it tastes, so I’m a bit disappointed. I liked the Unplugged Imperial Weizen way better. BrewDad (2370), Olympia, Washington, USA

Now this is a Wheat Beer with a kick. Screw that fruity stuff, this has spice! Aroma of wheat malts, clove, and minor banana. Flavor packs a whole lot of wheat malt flavor, some cloves, and a hint of nutmeg. Clean, with a little spiced up finish. Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full. Not as heavy as many German examples, but the flavor profile is all there. Probably one of the better made German Hefeweizens I have had. Very enjoyable beer and I am glad that it is Dancing Man time of year once again.
