Commercial Description:
If you dream of wheat this brew will get your toes tapping. Since 1995 we have brewed Bavarian style wheat beers exclusively for the same great state that grows and malts our own Wisconsin wheat. In a world full of posers this is a true hefe-weizen naturally 100% bottle fermented and hazy.

Expect this beer to cascade effervescent into your glass. The rich spicy clove and cinnamon notes will greet your nose while sweet fruit and wheat kisses your lips.

Lick the foam from your mouth and admit sometimes you just gotta get up and dance.

The American wheat is too often a poor excuse for an ale with a little flavor added. This one, however, is the real deal. Banana flavors are strong and there are nice hops. Strong citrus. Well balanced.

Unfiltered orange-yellow with a large slowly dissipating white head that laces spottily as it fades. Aroma of orange, banana, clove, wheat and toasted malts. Taste of baznana, clove, spice, cinnamon, sweet malts and a spicy yeasty clove finish. 7.2% ABV? I had no idea. This is easily my favorite New Glarus "regular" beer (non fruit/unplugged).

Pours a cloudy orange with a fluffy head. Nose is fruity and spicy, mostly bananas and citrus but I detect some apple in there as well. Smooth, well-balanced flavor. A bit spicy upfront, with clove and nutmeg. Good banana in the flavor as well. Maybe a little of vanilla and powdered sugar in the finish. Mouthfeel is very carbonated, and medium bodied, but satisfying. Wheat beers don’t usually get me dancing, but maybe I’d get on the floor for this one.

Bottle. Pours very hazy, golden orange with a thick and fluffy white head. Great looking beer. Huge aroma with lots of fruit and spices sweet bananas, lemon, some orange, cloves and some other spices, maybe a little ginger. Great taste, very well balanced, more of the cloves and sweet banana with some bubblegum in the finish. Very smooth. Great brew, best hefe I’ve had in quite a while if not ever.

Pours a cloudy golden color with a slightly orange hue. Head is soft and pillowy white. Aroma is strong with clove, banana, and hints of cinnamin and ginger. Clove burst onto the tongue with some spice mixed in. Banana brilliantly comes into play in the middle, leaving you with a spicy banana bread finish. Full bodied and highly carbonated; a little less body would be perfect, but this is so close. I’ve been drinking tons of this since it was released, and will continue drinking it until it’s all gone. I hope they continue making this one; it is a masterpiece. Another amazing beer from an amazing brewer. Do not change the recipe!

This beer was not at all what I was expecting. Wheat beers do not generally thrill me, but this one has a delightfully textured palate of cloves and banana, cinnamon and vanilla against the pleasant wheat base and well carbed mouthfeel. One of the best wheats I’ve come across in a while.

What a tastey beer this was. Poured a cloudy, bright yellow colour with a full white foamy head. Very pleasent aroma, moderately sweet, soft spice, coriander, orange peel and bananna. Lemon zest is prevalent.

Cloudy straw color with a thin white head. Aroma of spice and sweetness really stands out. Flavor has notes of clove and honey. Slightly sweet. Nice flavor, one of the better I have had of the style.
