Commercial Description:
If you dream of wheat this brew will get your toes tapping. Since 1995 we have brewed Bavarian style wheat beers exclusively for the same great state that grows and malts our own Wisconsin wheat. In a world full of posers this is a true hefe-weizen naturally 100% bottle fermented and hazy.

Expect this beer to cascade effervescent into your glass. The rich spicy clove and cinnamon notes will greet your nose while sweet fruit and wheat kisses your lips.

Lick the foam from your mouth and admit sometimes you just gotta get up and dance.

Bottled sample shared with oakbluff. Medium gold in colour with a bit of haze and strong carbonation. Aromas of clove, wheat, and a bit of bubblegum. More wheat malt flavor in the mouth, along with some floral notes, lemon rind, banana, and bubblegum. Light bodied and very refreshing considering the stronger than average abv. Very nice.

Pitcher @ State Street Brats in Madison. Classic hefe look and smell - hazy yellow with rally powerful banana and dusty wheat. Flavor is crisper/more citrus than the appearance would let on. Really nie banana/clove blending into a hoppy white pepper spice. Really well balanced fruit esters and bitterness. I miss being close to NG...

12 oz bottle. Color is an orange yellow with fair carbonation and a nice tight head. Aroma is big on the banana with back notes of wheat and orange. Its a lighter medium bodied brew with banana and clove coming out first, then a hint of citrus and hop spice and ending with a mild bitterness. This is a very well done Hefe.

12oz bottle poured into a weizen glass. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a couple bubble streams coming up from the bottom. There’s a big billowy white head that recedes pretty quickly and leaves almost no lacing. The aroma is wonderful, starting with the mixture of banana and cotton candy sweetness. There are hints of clove in the nose and a light lemony citrus presence. Textbook hefe aroma for me. The taste starts out with a much more tart lemony kick than I was expecting and the wheat sweetness is much more understated in the taste. The finish has the tartness of the lemons combined with a light spiciness that lingers on the tongue a little while. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and I would never, never have thought it was 7.2% ABV. Good carbonation. This is an excellent and super drinkable wheat beer, though I’d probably rate this one a notch below Crack’d Wheat. All I know is Dan Carey can make one helluva wheat beer and this just reinforces that fact. Highly recommended.

2009-08-01. Hazy pastel yellow body with a foamy white head. tart wheaty aroma, sweet esters. (7+) Flavour is sweet, wheaty with malty touches, tart wheat, sweet estery character is pleasant. Subtle, I’d like to return to this in greater quantity at some point. Average plus bodied palate. Pretty solid wheat beer. Bottle at BCTC 2009

Flavor is sweet and floral with notes of bread, yeast, grain, banana, coriander, spice, light caramel and honey notes. Generally light to medium body with a pleasing lightly spicy finish.

Bottle. Pour is cloudy copper with medium thicker head. Aroma is wheat, banana, clove, spice, and chamomile. Flavor is true to nose and pretty rich for a hefe. Nice beer.
