Commercial Description:
This “Nobel-Pilsner” is the creation of our brewmaster. He brought special yeast from Bavaria, combined it with Wisconsin barley and the finest Bavarian and American hops. Then employing traditional brewing methods, this Pilsner is finished with a long cold rest in our cellars. Expect this bier to be creamy and full-bodied with a smooth finish.

Decent Pils. Light body, with aroma and taste of peaches and smooth swallow. Creamy mouth-feel, almost like a cream ale. Middling for a Pils.

Notes from 2004. Pours with a clear gold color and a fairly large white head. An above average grassy, floral hop aroma with a somewhat sweet golden malt touch. Taste is mildly sweet and a faintly dry aftertaste.

Aroma is wheat, honey, a bit of caramel. Body is a pale gold, with a bubbly head. Taste is much like the aroma with some peach and apricot to it also.

Just got this on July 29th in a mixed six-pack of New Glarus. If this is retired, I’m pleased that there were two in my six pack. Pours a light golden red, with a frothy white head. A very malty yeasty aroma with plenty of carbonation and nice lacing. The flavor is smooth, but not as sharp as a pilsner should be. Very clean with a light hop finish. Not the best pilsner, but a good beer overall.
