| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 23, 2006 From a 12 oz. twist cap long neck brown bottle with a blurb on the right side of label, no bottled freshness date.
Poured a clear dull lightly reddish hued golden with a nice foamy white head that settled into a thin sudsy lacing, minimal amount of sticking.
Aromas of green apples, bready malts and a light spiciness.
Good carbonation, crisp light bodied mouthfeel.
Dry, but not really pilsener tasting, dry sweet doughy malts with more of a taste of fresh cut apples slices than honey, a softly brisk spicy hoppiness, and a dry, dusty sweet bready finish, decent drinkability overall.
A different tasting pilsener from New Glarus, not bad, but wouldn’t be my first choice in pilseners.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 11, 2006 Bottle. Pour a nice bright golden color with a decent head. This has a clean, crisp citrus, hoppy taste that makes it very easy to drink. Like others have mentioned, not sure why this is considered retired as I recently purchased a 6 pack. I think ths is an exceptional pilsner. Styles (1653), Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 5, 2006 Slightly dark golden with huge white head. Great lacing. Arome is well balanced malt and noble hops. Flavor much the same. Sweet soft pils like malt up front with grassy/earthy hops in the finish. Soft billowy mouthfeel. Not a pils fan at all, but this is a nice example of the style. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 14, 2006 12 oz bottle. Yellow-ish gold with a foamy head that didnt last long enough for me to get to the taste. Not that I’m a big fan of pilseners but this doesnt have as much corn taste as the others. Retiring this beer is not the end of the world. Indy (87), Hopkins, Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 9, 2006 A very good pilsener...but i find the pilsener style to be lacking in general. You might call this beer "King Shit of Turd Mountain". If pilseners are your thing, then you should try this one. incutrav (576), Woodbury, Minnesota, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 3, 2006 Another tasty craft from New Glarus....a true pilsner in my humble opinion. I would agree that is is a good summer beer, but its also good in the winter. Buy a variety pack with this, the cow and some uff-da in it and your ready to rip! csbosox (1084), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 26, 2006 Golden color. Aroma is crisp. Noble hops present in the nose. Taste is sweet, earthy, and spicy. Well balanced light malt and noble hops. Nice mouthfeel for the style. A well done pils; but alas, I am not a huge fan of the style. This would be a refreshing beer on a hot summer day.
