Commercial Description:
This “Nobel-Pilsner” is the creation of our brewmaster. He brought special yeast from Bavaria, combined it with Wisconsin barley and the finest Bavarian and American hops. Then employing traditional brewing methods, this Pilsner is finished with a long cold rest in our cellars. Expect this bier to be creamy and full-bodied with a smooth finish.

Gold color with a thin head. Little bits of honey in the aroma. Thin malt backbone with hints of flowers and even lemon for the taste. An interesting Pilsener.

Dark yellow in color with little head-dark for a Pils. Sweet and malty in aroma with some floral hops. Quite sweet in flavor with low carbonation. Decent malt and grain flavor with some spicy hops. Watery and sweet for the style. Very clean though.

Bottled. Clear gold color with a white head. Yeasty aroma with sulfur notes. Light lager-like yeast taste with some lingering malt.

On tap in New Glarus. Golden bronze in color. Not much smell - some subtle accents of honey and wheat. Light, crisp lemony taste and a little astringent. Nice sweetening from the use of malts. Careful selection of using the appropriate yeast goes a long way to making this a memorable and enjoyable pilsener - partially defined by a bready quaff that accompanies each sip. Leaves a nice, distinct cleansing aftertaste. Funny how New Glarus can even make a pilsener taste good.

Pours medium amber with a small white head which diminishes quickly. Aroma is pleasant, buttery and straw like malts with very little hops. I think I picked up some citrus hops. Flavor is much like the aroma. A lightly sweet buttery-straw-like malty taste with very little hops. Light to medium body with a slightly creamy texture. I think this beer would go great with grilled brats on a nice day.

Pours golden with a hint of copper. Malty and bready, finish is clean, crip and slightly fruity. Hops were on the mild side, but it works well with this beer. Good session beer.

Pours a golden orange with a small white head and faint carbonation. Sweet grassy aroma, nice and crisp. Very smooth and clean on the palate...grassy and some sweet malts in the flavor, very little hops detected. Very nice and refreshing.
