A medium body with a grainy malt finish and noticeable hops in the flavor. Syd (910), Waconia, Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 23, 2003 On tap at the New Glarus Hotel Restaurant. Glass appeared with a nice golden hue and a creamy looking head and good lace. The aroma was of floral hop. The flavor was nice and malty with a good hop balance; however, there were some off flavors (need to clean the lines?). The palate was nice and rich. Overall, this was pretty good. The beers pours a nice medium gold with a fine head. The palate was "meatier" than I expected. Plenty of malty "heft" and some nice followup from the hops. Quite nice! I think it smells better than it tastes even though it tastes really good. This is a definate keeper. I could drink a lot of this stuff. Very sweet and grainy.
