Commercial Description:
This “Nobel-Pilsner” is the creation of our brewmaster. He brought special yeast from Bavaria, combined it with Wisconsin barley and the finest Bavarian and American hops. Then employing traditional brewing methods, this Pilsner is finished with a long cold rest in our cellars. Expect this bier to be creamy and full-bodied with a smooth finish.

Bottle. Decent enough pilsener, far cry from a German pils, too sweet and not dry enough for that. Pretty generic with some decent sweet bread character. Alright, but not great.

Pretty grassy with strong wheat aroma. Light. Smooth. Not bad for a style I don’t care for. With a few tastes, I can fruit as well. Nice.

Well, it’s not bad for a German Pils, but then again, there’s no such thing as a great German Pils. A bit of hay, grass and cereal with a slight metallic tinge, light hops and sweetness, bit of sourness that I wasn’t crazy about. Light, easy drinking, nothing too out there. Bit gassy.

12oz bottle. thanks to holdenn for offering this to me. pours yellow with white head. touch of grain, earth and spice hop notes. clean pils malt flavor with just enough grassy and spicy hop notes for balance. pretty solid pils.

12 oz bottle from Discount Liquor. Pours a clear yellow with a white head. Nose has a lot of grain and hay with little hops coming through. Sweet malt flavors that have too much hay and grain with a nominal grassy hop finish. I like my pils less in the European style of hay malts but cleaner and hoppier. Not bad for a European Pilsner but not especially good either. I’ll rate this one more time yet to be sure.

Pours golden yellow with a sudsy white head. The aroma has clean pale malt and is richer than most pils with the hops taking a back seat. The malt is perfect & wish there were more hops, but it is still fantastic. Medium body that is thicker and richer than most in the style with smooth underscored sharp carbonation. The flavor begins with rich pils malt and a bit of spicy / grassy hops. The finish is a bit hoppier and it is extremely clean. Fantastic version of a pils.

Thanks to Ken for this one. Clear pale yellow body with no head. Very nice aroma of honey and hay, hitting the nose lightly, but pleasantly noticeable. The flavor falls off for me though. I get a lot of sweet honey but no hop character to speak of. The body was not very dry, but also not too sticky or full.
