| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 17, 2008 (Thanks John, Kosko20) 12 oz bottle into shaker. Just slightly hazy amber brown color with a great creamy lacing off-white head. Aroma is rich and very impressive – nutty and doughy (thick and chewy aroma). The flavor is also very well done – nutty and oaky upfront that fades into a doughy vanilla finish that is remarkably smooth and balanced with no flaws. Medium bodied and smooth with light carbonation on the palate. Overall: one of the best brown ales I have had. Very impressive, unbelievably drinkable and refreshing. This is my first New Glarus and has me craving more. nuplastikk (1224), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
