Commercial Description:
100% Wisconsin malt of six different varieties impart the natural toasted color to the bottle conditioned unfiltered ale. Clean hazelnut notes result from these carefully chosen barley malts. Hops from Slovenia, Bavaria and the Pacific Northwest give Fat Squirrel its backbone.

12oz bottle-A dark amber light brown body with a small ring for a head. An aroma of roasted malt and nuts. Taste of the same with a nice sweetness on the back end. Nice tasting brown.

Bottle trade from shigadeyo. Poured a clear brown color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted sweet nutty malt aroma. Medium body with lively carbonation. Solid balanced toasted flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Good complex brew.

Poured a clear light brown, with some ruby vibrance to it. A small white head dissipated quickly and produced only some lacing. The aroma was thin chocolate, roasted malt and light spice. I got "Cinnamon Toast Crunch" cereal. The flavor was chocolate, roasted, smokey malt and light spice. The mouthfeel and carbonation were fine. I kind of rolled my eyes when I pulled this from the fridge, but ended up really liking this beer.

12oz. bottle. Pours brownish amber in color with an off-white head. Ovaltine chocolate malt, hookah rose, nutty caramel, slightly poppycock-ish in a way on the nose. The palate is solf and a little oily. The flavor reveals more hops than I picked up on the nose, which are herbaecious, and the malt is mild with the chocolate translating well.

12oz bottle-pours a foamy light tan head and hazy amber color. Aroma is sweet medium malt-caramel/chocolate/toffee, nutty, medium fruit, secondary spicy/woody hops. Taste is medium malt, secondary spicy/woody/metallic (English hops). Taste not as complex as aroma. Comes across as a nice mild ale, mellow. Mild carbonation. Thanks Wasatch.

Bottle poured a clear brown with a small lasting ivory head. Aromas of tootsie rolls, carmel and a hint of nuts. Palate was light to medium bodied, crisp yet smooth. Flavors of cocoa, carmel and a hint of nuts with a smooth malty finish.

a decent roasty brown. Nice malt character with chocolate and nutty presence. Nice enough.

Much better than most American brown ales. Light. Nutty. Bit of hops. A nice version of the beer. And a rare treat for me to have New Glarus.
