Poured a clear brown color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted sweet nutty malt aroma. Medium body with lively carbonation. Solid balanced toasted flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Good complex brew. Soonah (980), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 15, 2007 Poured a clear light brown, with some ruby vibrance to it. A small white head dissipated quickly and produced only some lacing. The aroma was thin chocolate, roasted malt and light spice. I got "Cinnamon Toast Crunch" cereal. The flavor was chocolate, roasted, smokey malt and light spice. The mouthfeel and carbonation were fine. I kind of rolled my eyes when I pulled this from the fridge, but ended up really liking this beer. houseofwares (21), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 14, 2007 12oz. bottle. Pours brownish amber in color with an off-white head. Ovaltine chocolate malt, hookah rose, nutty caramel, slightly poppycock-ish in a way on the nose. The palate is solf and a little oily. The flavor reveals more hops than I picked up on the nose, which are herbaecious, and the malt is mild with the chocolate translating well. jcwattsrugger (5581), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 9, 2007 Much better than most American brown ales. Light. Nutty. Bit of hops. A nice version of the beer. And a rare treat for me to have New Glarus.
