| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 5, 2006 Pours an amber brown with a thin head that fades quickly. The aroma is very nutty and raw malts. Rather thin bodied and medium carbonated. Although it seems simple with first sip the flavors come out subtley as nutty malty, biscuitty and a little bit of molasses. I wish it said bottle conditioned on the bottle a little bigger so you can remember to keep that yeast out. undsioux7 (560), Cologne, Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 31, 2006 Pours a hazy amber brown with a nice light brown medium head that dissapates. Aroma of bready, nutty malts with a hint of hops. Nice full malty mouthfeel to start with a bit of nutty taste on the tongue, then turns a bit off at the end that didn’t mix with the nice nutty flavor. Still good stuff. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 31, 2006 Thanks to iowaherkeye for this one. Clear brown body, fairly large almost pillowy head with average at best lacing. Aroma is very nutty with caramel and very light hops. Light roast in the flavor, fairly sweet with a bit too much carbonation. Good for a brown ale. NachlamSie (1644), Tennessee, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 31, 2006 Bottle. Hm, pours a translucent amber ale with a nice white head. This is a bit lighter than most brown ales. The aroma is straight-up reprezentin’ brown side though. There is plenty of sweet bready malts, some caramel, a large amount of hazelnut, all in the aroma. The flavor is nutty. I mean, it’s very nutty. It almost, almost makes one question if actual walnuts were used in the brewing. This is predominantly malty sweet with nearly-sticky caramel and some faint mocha flavors, all along with a bit of toasted biscuity notes. This is a very solid, drinkable brown ale. Great session drink, I couldn’t see this ever getting overbearingly sweet or too sticky like some other brown ales I know. illinismitty (1799), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 30, 2006 Bottle thanks to Rooftoprogue. Pours a deep copper brown, but has a disappointing and diminshing white head. Color is great though. Aroma is nice, slightly sugary, nutty, malty and toasty. Very bold caramel and nutty flavors with hints of hazelnut. This really needs some sweetness to bring this into balance in my book. Bitter herbal hop finish with some hints of tea. I enjoyed this much better as it warmed. drunkenbum84 (70), kenosha, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 28, 2006 Brown Ale with a minimal light brown head. Flavor is good but fairly straight forward. Light roasted flavor, hints of chocolate. Not bad. Very drinkable but not overly interesting either. linkolnlogg (94), your home, Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Aug 27, 2006 Bottle. Pours out a mild brown colour with a nice lacy off tan head. Scent is chocolate, malt, and light nutty notes. Taste is crisp and malty with a very mild hop backdrop. Palate is sweet and the beer is very drinkable. Nice brew but lacking slightly in complexities, but a fine example of a good brown
