Amber body with deacent head and good lacing. Body was a full mix of malts and hops. Not too sweet not too spicey which i’ve found in most winter beers since actualy rating these. Decent brew. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 8, 2005 Bottle. Clear deep amber pour with a good 1/2" of off-white head. Probably the least brown brown ale I’ve tried. Wonderful deep roasty and nutty aroma with some caramel, and toffee. Nice medium malty backbone, and smooth across the palate... with some bitter citric notes on the finish. Nutty flavor with just enough sweet caramel was balanced very well with both floral hops and a slight citric twist. Very well done, once again! egajdzis (3644), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 5, 2005 Poured a copper color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of toffee, nuts and faint floral hops. Taste of citrus fruits, grassy hops, mint leaf, light smoke, caramel malts, some diactyl (not bad though), and more nuts. Thanks weeare138! eslight (2), Edina, Minnesota, USA does not count | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 28, 2005 Pours a medium chestnut color with a quickly fading 1/4 inch head. Smell is of peanuts and malt with a citrisy undertone. An understated nutty flavor with a hint of brown-sugar that finishes with orange peel. A nice, easy-drinking beer that calls out for another. weeare138 (936), Collegeville, Pennsylvania, USA

Appears a glowing brown with a 1 finger off white head that fades quickly. Tiny scatters of lace.
Smell is of roasty nuts, light hops, & slightly sour malt.
Taste is of the same aromas.
Mouthfeel is creamy sweet and sour with an odd sour note that seems to linger at the end. incutrav (577), Woodbury, Minnesota, USA
