Commercial Description:
Embrace a classic! Hometown Blonde is an old world style pilsner, assertively hopped with four premium hop varieties. Tettninger, Saaz, Styrian Golding and Strisselspalt varieties all grace this German-style brew with the complex character you enjoy in a classic pilsner. Expect to pour an elegant blonde glass of beer, crowned with a rich head of foam that resonates with our chorus of hops. Although delicate in appearance, our Hometown Blonde has a backbone, but of course that’s no surprise in Wisconsin. Enjoy!

Bottle: Pours a clear gold with a small white head. Aroma, not much, some light malts, and some grass. Flavor, light bready malts, some floral and herbal notes, citrus, toasty finish. Pretty tasty.

thanks badgerben! Not as tongue tickeling as the Surly ;0)...spicey and thin, little head and lacing, acidy finish.

Bottle courtesy from Monger: Poured a bright gold yellow color beer with a nice big pure white foamy head with good retention and good lacing. Aroma of floral malt with some dry crisp hops is quite enjoyable. Taste is also dominated by some floral malt with some light sweet notes and a medium dry crisp finish which is quite enjoyable. Body is full for the style with some good carbonation. Another very good beer from a great brewer from a style that produce too much crap IMO.

Crystal clear, dry looking body. A heavily carbonated gold pour results in a fizzy, thin white head with decent retention. Noble hops clearly dominate and comprise the bulk of the aroma. Backing notes include lightly toasty grains, wet grass, raw cereal grains and wheat, flowers. The flavor is very accessible. Light to fleeting moderate hop bitterness, fresh and earthy grass notes and lightly sweet malts all combine for a gentle, fresh and quenching taste. Acidity is negligible. The palate is soft and somewhat fizzy. Finishes light, long and earthy/grassy, bitterness lingering in corners of the mouth. Well done, though not as exciting or as crisp as I’d envisioned.

Bottle (12oz). Pours bright pure clear gold, decent quick-diminishing white head, some lacing. Smells like a nice, fresh, grassy pils - good moderately cereal grain body. Simple, soft and fresh pils flavour - light grain, some honey sweetness, soft grassy/floral hops in the lengthy lightly bitter finish. Decent body, good astringency (soft, soft), mild but adequate life, not an insistent flavour but it’s not shy - or a lawnmower beer. Just another solid beer from a brewery that usually "gets" it.

Above average pilsner. Faint spice notes and fruit. Well balanced but tame. Not as good as Capitol’s or Victory’s.

12 oz bottle. Poured a clear dark golden color. Head was bubbly and white with good retention and lacing. Aroma was of grassy hops and green vegetables. Delicately sweet up front with mild hop bitterness and a crisp, clean finish. Light noble hop flavor without much malt backbone. Okay beer, but a certainly overrated the day I entered it (80th percentile). Maybe its better on tap.

Yellow with good head and lacing. Aroma and flavor is malt and grass with a bitter finish. Good refreshing beer.
