Commercial Description:
Embrace a classic! Hometown Blonde is an old world style pilsner, assertively hopped with four premium hop varieties. Tettninger, Saaz, Styrian Golding and Strisselspalt varieties all grace this German-style brew with the complex character you enjoy in a classic pilsner. Expect to pour an elegant blonde glass of beer, crowned with a rich head of foam that resonates with our chorus of hops. Although delicate in appearance, our Hometown Blonde has a backbone, but of course that’s no surprise in Wisconsin. Enjoy!

Thanks to Ughsmash for this. Pours cloudy murky orange with a small white head. Fruity and spicy nose. Intersting for a pilsner, not as crisp and floral on the hops, cloudy and a bit to fruity, but a good beer. Earthy and grassy hops show their bitterness more then their floral characters, citrusy fruity flavors show with a bit of spiciness in the finish.

Straw colored with a slight haze and a small , tight head. Aroma of citrus, spice and pale malts. Flavor of crisp grain, citrus and spice with a sweet malt finish. bitter hop and smooth malt finish rounds it out very nicely. Very good.

Thanks to Terminus for picking this one up for me. Pours blonde (duh) with a sudsy white head. The smooth pale malt, some spicy hops, hints of smooth citrus and a touch of cream. Medium / light body with underscored sharp carbonation. The flavor begins just like the aroma with more spice on the finish and some oxidation showing up. This is a good beer that I’d like to get fresh and rerate.

12oz bottle. Slightly hazy hay lemon colored body. Nice, pleasent, lemon and corn fuel nose, but tempered by some pillowy yeast, giving it almost a cream smell. Sweet wheat, hay, lemon, and rich honey malts all over the mouth, with a semi-sharp bite over the middle and a crisp, sweet lemon and cracker pils malt finish. Very tasty.

Bottle courtesy of Ughsmash. Golden, decent white head and lacing. Herbal and grassy up front. Biscuity, lots of honey. Flavor much the same. Hops could be bigger, (but this is 6-7 months old already), honey character takes over a little bit. Soft, billowy mouthfeel. Well done, probably score another 2-3 points higher with a fresher bottle.

Tantalizing aroma of dandelions, honey and freshcut grass. Slightly hazy yellow with a nice white head. Crisp and hoppy, this beer delivers a nice zing of hoppiness but has enough malt to make it an honest to goodness exceptional beer. Very creamy mouthfeel. This is an outstanding beer and could turn me on to lagers. It provs that great beers don’t have to be mind-blowers.

Another superb new glarus beer. Lots more great hop flavor than your standard pilsner. Great slight malty flavor as well. Excellent example of the style.

12oz bottle - Poured slightly hazy straw color with small head. Has a wheat beer taste with some spice. My brother bought me a 12 pac of New Glarus for Christmas and had 4 different varieties of brew. This one is probably the best. A light beer and very easy to drink. Could hardly taste any hops.
