Surprised at how light and airy the taste was at first with a quite hoppy aroma. Very smooth with a light, almost sweet aftertaste. More flavorful than Spotted Cow, yet lighter. ogglethorp (889), Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 31, 2007 Bottle. Pour is a light golden color with a crisp thick white head and some nice lacing. Aroma is clearly hoppy, grainy, some toast. Flavor is well hopped some floral and grassy notes with a fair amount of grain and not much sweetness. Palate is medium to light bodied, medium carbonation finishes slightly sweet at first then bitter. A great beer for the sytle. Great beer to ween folks from macro swill. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 23, 2007 Bottle… Brilliant, clear yellow lager with a small, soapy, white head and good retention. The subtle aroma is of spicy, peppery hops with whispers of pilsner malt, lemon peel and acetaldehyde. Crisp, acerbic, hop flavor with moderate to medium bitterness. Medium-bodied and oily with lively carbonation. Short, metallic, abrasive finish. jarlbartar (88), Janesville, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 20, 2007 Poured a real blonde with an aroma of flowery hops and some maltiness, maybe butterscotch notes. Taste is full of bitter hops with some clove accents and grass. Left a hoppy, bitter aftertaste, a very good representation of the style.
