| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 13, 2008 Rich amber with small head, thin sheet of lacing. Definitely one of the neatest-smelling IPAs I’ve come across. It’s actually overkill. A unique combo: lemony detergent, flower, hemp, a bright berries -- almost like cheap Halloween candy. Taste is more subdued with dry, earthy flavours, solid malts with just enough bitterness to let you know what you’re dealing with. A fine specimen. cblado (150), Wisconsin, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 5, 2008 12 oz bottle. Poured a hazy amber color, good lacing. Significant off-white head. Aroma was pleasantly hoppy, with some citrus and grassy notes. There was also some malt aroma. Flavor was characterized by crisp, bitter hops and distinct caramel malt undertones, as well as some grassy notes. A very good IPA. HonkeyBra (1361), Lemont, Illinois, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 4, 2008 Nice caramel pour with some head. Aroma of straight up hops. Flavor is more spicy and flavorful rather than bitter. Great taste, well balanced with caramel and toffee notes. I like it. bu11zeye (5621), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 1, 2008 Pours a dark but clear burnt orange color. A frothy, cream colored head is large but quickly fleeting, leaving jagged bands of lacing on the glass. The aroma is heavy on toasted caramel malts, with plenty of cereal grains and notes of earthy, peppery hops. Hints of citrus blossoms poke through, but the hop feel is mostly faded and dusty. Flavors mirror the aromatic profile. Moderate floral and earthy bitterness gives way to the more assertive toasted caramel. Substantial body with balanced carbonation, finishing just slightly syrupy. This has a very British feel too it, overall. It’s good, but I much prefer American style IPAs.
