From bottle - Pours a hazy, carbonated amber color, with a half-finger frothy white head. A good deal of lacing around the glass. Aroma is somewhat faint, but when i can get it, it is very nice. Carmal, piney hops take charge. Taste is a good IPA taste, the hops are there with the caramel, but not overly bitter. Body is good, not overly thick, but not watery either. Nice finish, alcohol taste with the piney hops. Very nice brew.

It’s an amber liquid topped by a frothy off-white head. The smell is a bit underwhelming. There’s some nice sweetly caramel malt, just not enough hops to live up to it. The flavor is better and really quite good. The malt is strong. The hops are bitter and flavorful. It’s not quite as full as the top IPAs in the country but still very good. I really like the feel quite a bit. It’s sort of frothy, sudsier than most IPAs. It’s a very drinkable beer with a good balance, if not quite enough flavor to really push it over the top.

Very, very good beer. Poured with a ginormous frothy, foamy, huge, light tan head with loads of lace. Color is a clear nice deep coppery amber. Aroma is very hoppy and not too much citrus. A little earthy. Flavor’s similar with good carmamel to hoppy bitter. Body is ok, perhaps a tad watery, but with good carbonation. Good finish. Satisfying. Very slight alcohol at the last. Could be a session.

Dark orange-red, off white foam. Nice grassy pine resin hop aroma, caramel. Taste is more spice, but still pine, resinous hops, and a solid caramel malt body.

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of hops, pine, caramel, hop oils, light grapefruit, and light citrus. Poured amber/orange/slight copper in color with a large, creamy, dense, tan head that diminished but lasted throughout. Clear. Lightly sparkling. Excellent lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and light to medium bitter. Tastes of hops, pine, light caramel malts, slight hop oil, and a little citrus. Medium body. Smooth texture. Average carbonation. Hops, pine, and caramel finish is slightly sticky.

12oz bottle. Pours a deep, yellowish amber with a one finger of off white head, that receeds to a thin rim. Aroma is full of citrus and grass with an earthy hop aroma. Big caramel malt flavor mixed in with a bunch of citrus fruits. A decent amount of malts even out all the floral hops. A very enjoyable beer.

12 oz bottle from Roy’s (New Glarus, WI). Pours a orange driven amber, darker, well carbonated ad a bit hazy with decent offwhite head, a bit thick, laces decent. Aromas are grapefruit and citrus oil driven hops, florals, caramel malts provide an ample backbone behind as this. Initial is lighter bodied, not as thick, with caramel and toffee built flavor profile, with hops washing over in a wave, lighter end of moderate hopping, grapefruit and citrus largely, the aromas convinced me this would be stronger. Toffee and caramel with toasty malts stick to the palate, hops accept, decent hopping that doesn’t stand up to most newer-strength IPAs. This is good and sessionable, but malts are a bit unbalanced, and a bit underbodied as a brew. Ok.
