Sep 13, 2007 Another really good beer from new glarus. Flavor is nice and hoppy with hints of maltiness. Definitely one of the better IPAs Ive tried.

clear amber, big off white head, sweet piney aroma, creamy body, rich and mostly dry carmel malt flavor, flavorfull and balanced hops, nice but does not have enough character to stand out from tonights lineup of many ipa’s

Aug 31, 2007 [from bottle] amber, real hoppy, can taste the hops almost before you open the bottle. not very offensive, easy to sip on. a little fruit in there. not a real big fan of the ipa style but i have drank this brew more than once.

Aug 30, 2007 Hazy golden-amber color with a rather large white head. Aroma is primarily of earthy-sweet hops with some bready malts detectable. Flavor has a nice mix of earthy and fruit-sweetened hops plus some fresh bread and nuts. Smooth and tasty. A really nice IPA.

Aug 27, 2007 Reddish cobber colour with a white head. Hoppy aroma with a sweet kind of kind of backbone to back up and support the hops. A lot of citrus and grape hops that is well supported on the malt side. The aftertaste is of American hops that lingers for a good while on the back of the toungh.

Aug 16, 2007 Not sure why, but I like a good IPA in the summer. Dog 90 is my favorite. Sampled this in a bar in Milwaukee while on business. Pours a golden amber with gentle carbonation and quickly dissipating head. Aroma of hops, citrus, apricots. Sits clean on the tongue. Medium body. Not a new-school "extreme" IPA---not as hoppy as some of the bigger names. But still good. Fruity, malt flavor. Finish is very clean with just a little hoppy residue in the throat.

Aug 15, 2007 Updated: Jul 30, 2008Flower garden, honeycomb. Smooth mellow malt supports the hops nicely. Not overly bitter. Super glide to the next one. This is the beer that I would want to be stranded with on a desert island.

Aug 11, 2007 Updated: Dec 6, 2008Nice looking amber pour...gives a rich appearance...light head. Floral hops on the aroma with some embedded light fruit scents. Very nice hop flavor is balanced nicely by some caramel malt flavors. This was a very enjoyable IPA...would grab again if I find it!
Update 12/5/08 - Happy 75th anniversary of the repeal of prohibition! Slight upgrade to overall impression...this beer is very well balanced and has a very clean flavor to it!
