| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 11, 2007 Bottle: Pours a copper amber with a 1 finger white head. Aroma is slightly malty and floral hops. Flavor is malty upfront with slight fruit esters. Softly carmel creamyness with light bitterness and decent earthy hop flavors. Not nearly hoppy enough for an ipa if you ask me. I wonder if this was an old bottle or something. FLavor was not bad but just way too restrained. prosqtor (408), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Aug 5, 2007 Now this is a good IPA! New Glarus crams a lot of hops into this beer, which doesn’t have much of a head (the only thing keeping it from cracking the 4-point barrier IMHO). Amber in color, hearty, hoppy. aofoxxy is right: IPA aftertaste keeps you from switching, but I think I could drink a lot of this anyway, so why worry? xnoxhatex (1305), Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 24, 2007 Picked up single 12-oz bottle from Bob McFarland’s Liquor in McFarland, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-haze golden amber brew with a decent off-white head that quickly dissolves to a fine bubbly film and ring. Aroma has a good balance of roasted caramel malt and some grapefruit zest. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of roasted caramel malt, orange peel with a slight peppery spice texture. Finish is smooth, creamy with an orange zest aftertaste. Mild bitterness in the finish too. Optigon (562), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
