Feb 14, 2007 Pretty good. Sweeter than the IPA’s I’m accustomed to, but pretty darn refreshing tasting over all. This is a good gateway IPA to larger stuff. The hops come and go before you can swallow. Finishes super clean. Nice. This is a good day time IPA while you clean out the rain gutters and celebrate a task well done.

Feb 12, 2007 12 oz bottle courtesy Sammy. Hazy orange amber colour with a mostly diminishing frothy off-white head. Orange rind, thick, rich caramel, and woody aroma. Woody, light caramel, and citrus flavours with a pithy, grapefruit, and woody bitter finish. Medium bodied, dry and rough mouthfeel. Decent, but the mouthfeel kills it for me.

Feb 7, 2007 Amber color. Smell of malt, hops, flowers, apricots, grapefruit, orange peal, caramel and some lemons. Tastes the same but just a little water down flavor. Nice bitters at the end.

Feb 5, 2007 12oz bottle. Aroma: Fresh pine, floral, and light citrus hop aroma. Some light malt and caramel. Appearance: Medium amber in color with and fairly clear. Off-white head was full and foamy with good retention. Good lacing. Flavor: Light maltiness upfront with a touch of caramel. Piney, citrusy, and floral hops with a touch of pepper and grass. Medium-low bitterness. Semi-dry finish. Palate: Medium bodied. Medium carbonation. Overall: A decent IPA that ranks high in the drinkability department.

Jan 25, 2007 Updated: Aug 30, 2007The pour is really dark, reddish amber in color. All in all a very subdued version. Caramel, biscuits, grapefruit aromas. Very smooth fruity flavor of lime and bitter pear skin. Light toasty malt flavor constructs a healthy foundation underneath. Like a well made rendition of British IPA.

Jan 12, 2007 Bottle from Ryan. Thanks. Pours out a dark orange color with a yellowish colored head. Smell is hops, malts, some sweet caramel flavors, and you can definately smell and taste the cascades in this beer. Taste is hoppy and smooth, with some nice grassy notes and a little bit of grapefruits. A nice, decent easy drinking IPA.

Jan 9, 2007 Light floral hop aroma. Classic golden brown with a nice frothy head. Medium palate with a very smooth mouthfeel. Light malts witha good hop balance. Nothing overpowering at all--which is nice for a change. Very solid and enjoyable.
