| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 2, 2007 Like most of their offerings, this one is mediocre at best. Highly filtered, poured a standard copper amber. Nose is of some cascades and oranges. Pepper. Malts are dirty and earthy, or maybe that is the goldings. Whatever it is, it tastes more like a British IPA. I loathe Wisconsin. Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 30, 2006 Pours an orangey/amber color with a thick white head. Great lacing. Smells like wonderful sauce....by that I mean it’s got a nice bright piney aroma. The flavor is fully of floral hop bitterness. A little pine. A lotta bitter. Interesting combination of some earthier euro hop tastes to compliment the Cascade. Good stuff. pantani (1902), Salinas, California, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 26, 2006 Bottle. Orange pour with a substantial head. Vegetal flowery hop aroma. Pepper flavor with not much bitterness for an IPA. Some caramel notes lying underneath all of it. Alcohol is well hidden. To me this is middle of the road as far as IPA’s go, but not 90th percentile as the score suggests. Maybe it’s just not the hop variety that’s at the top of my list. Improves as I drink more of it, a good sign which prompted me to increase the overall score from 14 to 15. GeneralGao (3071), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 25, 2006 12 oz bottle. Poured a clear copper color. Head was very thick and foamy. It took a while to settle and left a thick lace on the glass. Very attractive beer. Smelled of sprucy, citrusy hops and malty caramel. Flowery hop flavor overpowers the malt somewhat. Spicy and dry on the tongue with a toasted bread note at the end. Good beer, but certainly not as good as most people have rated it. MrBendo (1044), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 16, 2006 Thanks to buckybeer for the bottle. Pours clear orange with big, rocky head. No lacing seen. Aroma is pine hops and some sweet malt. Taste really lays out the malts in here. Big caramel, roasted sweet. Finishing with a nice hops bitterness. Medium bodied. Very nice twist on malts, and very good.
