| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 28, 2006 Sweet malts below bitter citrus and perfume provide an enjoyable balance of aromas and flavors. Clear copper pour with moderate off-whtie head. The nose is filled with grapefruit and floral aromas nicely mixed. The malts are a bit subdued in the aroma, but certainly show themselves in the flavor in the form of sweet caramel. The hops evoke flavors of grapefruit, pine. The English floral hops were nicely blended so as not to overpower with a perfumey taste. The body is medium to thick with a sticky, dry finish. Moderate bitterness in the aftertaste. Quite enjoyable. illinismitty (1801), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

Spicy hop aroma. Malt backbone that is toasty with hints of caramel, offset by some bitter spicy hops. Earthy and tea like. Parts of this remind me of Tyraena Bitter Woman. Not bad
