It is a wet cinnamon color with a decent sized head to its credit. This beer flows over the tongue in a thin manner. It slowly grabs the tongue with a taste of hops and caramel then fades back to hoppy as it is swallowed. thenewfbi (7), Portland, Oregon, USA does not count | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 8, 2005 This was my favorite back when I lived in Wisconsin. Very tasty. I wish we were able to get it out here in Oregon. Oh how I miss it. mamabeer (39), Urbana, Illinois, USA

This is one for all hopheads to enjoy. lostcoat (3), Brooklyn, New York, USA does not count | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 29, 2005 My girlfriend brought this back from wi, and it is one of the best ipa i have every had. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 21, 2005 Bottle. Pours a nice copper color, with a well laced, if short lived, head. Medium hoppy nose, followed with a middle long on caramel notes. Finishes dry.
I’d like to try this on draught. Roadtrip! kramer (2519), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours a crystal clear copper under a finger sized fluffy off-white head. Resiny hop aroma, some caramel maltiness, and grapefruit. Flavor is rather one dimensional, bitter enough for an IPA but it lacks much depth. Notes of pine and citrus but lackling overall in malt. Fairly thin in the body. This just needs a little more malt to balance out the hoppiness. Drinkable enough though! Philip (436), Illinois, USA

I find this eminently refreshing with a pleasant malt backbone and a hop finish that doesn’t try to overwhelm the senses. All the typical citrus and pine notes of a good IPA. Kudos to Mr. Carey yet again.
