Thanks to Drnk_McDermott for this one. This one was a nice surprise. Pours slightly turbid coppery, with a big, creamy, white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, malt, fruit, spice. Tastes hoppy, with a great, sweet malt backbone, and some finishing fruit and citrus. Medium, very smooth palate. This is one of the fruitier IPAs I’ve had. Great complexity and balance. Wondeful beer.

The beer pours a clear, deep copper-amber color that sits beneath a creamy tan head. As I pour this beer, I get suprisingly malty aromas that waft to my nose. As I go in for my first deep smell, I get more malty notes of toasted malt, and carmel. I go in for a deep snort, and just confirm that malt aromas dominated the nose on this beer. Perhaps I get a hint of citrus in the nose, but that is it.

The taste has a zingy, hoppiness to it that is slightly herbal and definitely floral in character. The finish is nicely bitter, but is dominated by a dry, austere maltiness that is evocative of lightly toasted biscuits, caramalized sugar, and raw malted barley. I get flavor notes of lemon, grain husk (a certain astringency in the finish), crystal malt, biscuit malt, and a certain elusive grassiness. The hops certainly are dominant in the front of this beer, but there is a really nice complimenting malt component in the finish, which ends up competing with the bitterness to balance this beer out.

I would, perhaps, have enjoyed this beer a bit more if it had not been labled an IPA. It is so malty as to almost throw me for a loop. It is quite hoppy as well, it is just not a conventional IPA (and really who wants that). While there is a pronounced maltiness here, the hops still play a central role.

clear amber, lots of carbonation with a small head. lots of hops but not overstated; piney, citrusy, some candy. very solid malty body, perfectly balanced--not dominated by west coast-style bitterness but instead a very balanced english-style bitterness that complements the cascadey aroma very well. this one gives two hearted a good run for the money!

Pours a golden amber with a small white head. Aromas of caramel and brown sugar. Medium bodied with flavors of maple syrup and honey. Very mellow with a slight smokiness.

12oz Bottle No Date Pours a clear bright copper color with a head of very loose bubbles that seem to be diminishing rapidly. Grassy hoppy aromawith nrtes of pine and bubblegum. Very interesting. Flavor is only slightly bitter with hops but well balanced and unoffensive. Very middle of the road IPA and a good session brew as well. Body is right on target for the style, medium even carbonation. Very light lacing left behind. Overall a good IPA that I recommend highly.

Pours transparent copper with medium sized beige head. Aroma is decent flowery hops of the IPA variety. Very balanced and tasty. Some malt, but mainly a wonderfully bitter long finish.

Brilliant amber with faint brown, followed by a off white head and fine bubbles. Huge hop nose with some roasted notes, almost nutty with some fruit aromas. Medium body, w/ roasted flavors mingling with the hops. Light and refreshing finish with palate cleansing grass like flavors.

The first IPA I ever drank. I Pours light/medium red/brown with a small off white head. Good strong hop flavor, along with a small citrus/pine thing, and an ending "soapiness". Very full on the palate... very tasty...
