Dec 1, 2008 This one poured light orange with a sustained head. The caramel malt does come through and is balanced with the resinous hop flavor and aroma. A good solid thirst quencher in the IPA mold.

Nov 28, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours orange/amber with a huge white head. Aroma is very piney and citrusy, with some malt presence. Flavor is nice and hoppy with a good malt balance, but it finishes surprisingly thin. Still pretty good overall.

Nov 18, 2008 Updated: Dec 27, 200812oz bottle. Deep toffee orange-brown color, looks filtered. Foamy head, fresh stuff. Strong but not astringent orange citrus hop aroma. Rich and malty with a solid hop assault. Really captures a lot of the IIPA characteristics without the high alcohol. Excellent beer. Second time through and I find it to have more English IPA qualities, nice watery body with a pleasant earth hoppyness.

Oct 30, 2008 Nice hop aroma, with the caramel backbone supporting it. Pours a clear, nice reddish amber, with a cap of off white head. Nicely balanced, not quite as hoppy as the aroma led me to believe. Very nicely balanced, and easy to drink. Nothing extraordinary, but a solid beer.

Oct 25, 2008 12oz bottle. this one sat around for too long and is defl one on my re-rate list....biscuity caramel malt with little to no head at all...flavors continued along the same line but there was some hop presence due to a light bitterness towards the finish. good mouthfeel overall....just need to try this one fresh instead of 8 months old.

Oct 23, 2008 Bottle courtesy of bvc. Pours a murky medium amber with a 2 finger cream head. Awesome lacing on this one. Nose is mostly caramel malt with some sweet citrus. Taste is caramel, toffee and sweet ripe citrus with a fairly mellow resin finish. A little more malt profile than I like upfront, but it’s pretty good and more balanced than its west coast counterparts. Medium, creamy mouth feel. Thanks Brandon!

Oct 18, 2008 Bottle. Poured a rusty amber with minimal, but lacy, off-white head. Hops slightly edge out caramel malt in the aroma. It’s misleading, though, because the hops in the flavor profile are much more muted. Still, you get a fair share of pine, citrus, and spicy hops on a bed of sweet caramel malt. Very drinkable, but fairly timid overall.

Sep 22, 2008 MMmmmm hops. Aroma hops: grapefruit, citrus, pine. Caramel malt background as well. Pour is dark copper with thick, off white head. Flavor is well balanced of hops and caramel malts. Palate is bitter and mildly spicy. Very well crafted brew. I wish NG would get more recognition around the country!
