Its a true masterpiece of the IPA style. badbeer (433), Iowa, USA
| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Dec 23, 2007 Beer pours an amber color with a rich creamy head, lacing lasts throughout. Strong hop aroma as you would expect, the smell lures you right into the beer. Taste is of hops and almost perfectly so. Mouthfeel, seems just about right, I do not know what could make it better. Drinkability is definately high, an evening of these would be almost unimaginably good. Yum. Fine amber color, highly carbonated, without a huge head. Massive grapefuit-like flavors dominate courtesy of the Cascades. Nicely rounded malt shows through as well. | 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Aug 3, 2005 The minute you open this one it is screaming with hops. Pours a very clear light orange color with a solid off white head that stays throughout the drink. A lot of hop flavor up front with a very balanced back end heavy in malt and hop bitterness. Not very heavy but more refreshing with a lot of flavor and bitterness in one. This is what IPA’s should be modelled after. Falconseye8 (525), Cartersville, Georgia, USA

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 29, 2002 It may not be Hop Devil, but this is one good IPA in its own right. As the label warns, "not for the faint of heart". Not being faint of heart, I loved it. Heavy, pine-like hop aroma. Average-sized head; mostly lasting. Amber in color. Very tasty and hoppy. Not too perfumy. A very nice IPA. mistersinalin (378), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA

Not overly bitter. Super glide to the next one. This is the beer that I would want to be stranded with on a desert island. jah noth (1017), Rochester, New York, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 6, 2003 This is a mighty tasty IPA. When you pop the top of this one, you immediately notice the piney aspect of this ale. Thick frothy head and lacing throughout. Indica sticky pine flavor with nice malt backbone. IPAs don't get a whole lot better. Very enjoyable.
