04.08.05 12oz bottle thanks to TAR. Muddy, totally clouded, iced tea brown with smallish, pale head. Sweet, yummy aromas of caramel apples, toast. Soft palate with slightest tingle of eff. Flavors are a touch chocolatey, ripe grains, light toast. Reminds a bit of Alaskan and could maybe use a stronger toasty quality. It’s nice and not overdone. Thanks Jeff!

Nice deep, smooth, dark amber color. Small off-white head that quickly diffuses to look like a distant galaxy swirl. Smell is nearly all malt - primarily roasted and chocolate malts. Rather sweet and dry aroma, reminiscent of a dark cola. Tastes chocolatey and is oily on the palate. Well-bodied, not too thin or thick. Light, crisp and smooth, but with a solid, unmistakable malt backbone. Rather carbonated. Finish is malty and seems to leave an invisible small film-like feeling on the outskirts of the mouth. Also a small subtle spicy aftertaste. An easy drinker that would be hard to offend.

Tan, quickly diminishing head. Aroma is sweet caramels, breads, molasses, prunes, very cookie-ish. Very sweet and malty aroma. Too bad the aroma faded dramatically within a minute after opening the bottle. Body is a mahogany color. So-so lacing. Flavor is sweet and malty. Palate is smooth and clean. Almost a touch watery. Light medium mouthfeel.

Pours a dark brown color with an off white head. Light somewhat malty aroma. Decent flavors of nutty caramel, almost like a dunkel, but not as pronounced. Very easy to drink. This used to be one of my year round standards before I started trying lots of different beer.

Malt and some roasted nuts in smell. Seems a little yeasty too. Descent flavor but not as grainy as i like it to be. Does finish crisp and with a little butter and spice.

Pours deceptively thick. Initially, I’m detecting slight citrus-like sweetness that is quickly subdued by weak malt. The hops scream at the onset but are a mere whisper toward the end. The taste is fast and furious, and not bad. A very refreshing beer. Thanks, robertsreality!
