Tastes is fairly straightforward APA. Grapefruit and lemons with some residual scones and biscuits. Not a real player on the edgey map but a finely crafted brew in general, and a credit to Dan to go the organic/local route (except for the hops).

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 15, 2009 Bottle from biggcb. Dirty gold color that’s topped with a moderate off-white head with just a few patches of retention. The aroma is airy; some caramel, grains, floral notes and fruit but it’s a really mild scent. Easy drinking beer, probably a decent drink after some yard work, whatever, but the flavor is overall watery and bland and pretty much in line with the aroma. Caramel and doughy malts. Hops are resiny with a splash of citrus. Very little bitterness. Drinkable but not a lot there and it takes some digging to figure out what’s going on. Block (379), West Lafayette, Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 11, 2009 Brown pour. Tastes great. Very easy to drink. Nice balance between the sweet malts and a slight hop finish. Some particulate. I honestly didn’t expect much from this beer and I thought the "organic" tag was only there as a gimmick but this beer is really good. coldmeat23 (233), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Nov 24, 2009 Pours a clear, golden brown color. Two-finger head of white foam. Retention is pretty good. Lacing is spotty, but decent.
The nose is very light. Some grass, maybe some corn, and a light floral hint.
Tastes of corn and barley notes. Light hints of grass and maybe some malts. Hint of hops, lightly. Ends with a weird, bitter twang, that is slightly off-putting.
Light and crisp.
If I liked macros, I think that I might like this one more. As it is, I don’t really like it much, at all. I don’t think I’ll be having this one again.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 21, 2009 Bottle. Pours lightly hazy gold with a nice off-white head. Nose is floral & spicy hops, some candied orange peel, very light toffee malt. Flavor is amazing floral & earthy hops - a bit of mint, a bit of honey, a bit of lemon. Perfectly rounded out by a nice crisp maltiness. Perhaps a bit sweet, but I bought this bottle a few months ago. I think the low score here comes from this being so unlike other APAs due to the Hallertau. Its more Kellerbier than APA & I love it. Nate (2558), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA

Light bitter character in the nose, mild resin with little citrus or grassy character. Mild dusty grain and a bit of caramel sweetness. Medium amber body, very hazy, with thin off-white head. Medium bodied with high carbonation and light chalky finish. Starts with light acidity, mild bitter character and not much sweet character. Bit of grain and light caramel. Carbonic acidity with chalky finish and light astringent bitter. tedovertu (260), Apple Valley, Minnesota, USA
