Commercial Description:
Bold floral bouquet sweeps forward, encouraged by the Maris Otter Malt. Ale and Brettanomyces promote complex Brett characters. Dry finish. Alive and still fermenting, this bottle will continue to build carbonation. Pour with care. Brewed 3-23-09. Bottled 6-18-09.

500ml bottle acquired in trade. Poured a medium and clear golden color with a larger sized off white head. Aromas of fruitiness, floral, some spiciness, and some lighter funkiness. Tastes of fruitiness, spices, citrus, yeasty, and the same lighter funk.

Bottle courtesy of CanIHave4Beers. Many thanks, Andy! Pours hazy deep golden with orange tint and huge, lasting white gauzy head. Beautiful beer. Nose offers huge bubblegum, brett, and lemon oil -- intense at first, but ultimately shows more complexity: wood that even hints at some lambic-like notes. Taste is tart and lemony and quite floral. Mild tangerine and nectarine. Both prickly (nearly over-carbonated) and watery at once. Palate is only real drawback, but this is a fine beer.

Bottle thanks to MatSciGuy. Pour is hazy golden color with a frothy white head. Aroma shows notable dry-hopped aromas- very floral and lemony. Also a light maltiness, a touch of honey, light funky barnyard, and chamomile. The aroma is really nice and really crisp. Flavor is heavy dry hop, a nice bretty kick, and a floral/ citrus burst with a lingering floral hop and light cookie malt finish. Very crisp and very nice. I cloud drink a lot more of this.

Definite fruity tartness, old sweat laced bandaid , brett horseblanket,if your into Brett that old bandaid aroma is not that offensive, it might be if your not. Taste is thin fruity,a little sweet at first, but that old bandaid flavor comes to dominate the finish, and becomes somewhat unpleasant. If someone told me this was a junior homebrewers first attempt at a brett infused ale, I’d say not bad,but try again. How a decision was made to not only release this to the public, but also charge a premium price for it (9.00 bucks for a 500ml bottle) is puzzling. The label is intriguing, you think your getting something special, don’t understand at all those 4.0 ratings. No way,not the bottle I had

Bottle and served in my Orval glass: Golden hue with a fading fizzy head and no lace. The aroma has notes of band-aid, solvent, sweat, apple, pale biscuity malt, and flowers. The taste is bland pale malts with butter cream, some acidic fruits, bitter but flushed out hops, mineral water, wood bark, light twangy fruits and grains of paradise. The mouth feel is equally underdeveloped, soft, flat, and watery, let me repeat this WATERY, honestly WTF. This is without a doubt the most disappointing beer I had in 2009, It ain’t Orval nor is it a worth even half what I paid for it, seems like a second running of a basic Belgian Ale. Following the disaster that was Old English Porter, I am really having my doubts about the new beers produced by New Glarus. I have lessened my expectations of the Cran-Lambic because of this.

Bottle 50cl. @ LCRBM09 - Low Countries RateBeer Meeting V, Kulminator, Antwerpen, Belgium.
Clear medium orange color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, brett. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090905]

500ml bottle served in a tulip. Hazy, golden orange pour with a two-finger thick head of tight beige foam that hung around for a bit. Light lace. The aroma had bright notes of lemon, pineapple, along with some honey, light caramel, and some faintly cheesy hops. Lots of fruity brett, but not too funky. The flavor had lemon and orange zest, pineapple, tropical fruits, and bready pale malt. Medium-bodied with a light amount of crisp carbonation. Dry finish. A good beer, but I was mildly disappointed after seeing the early ratings.

Bottle.. Light orange in color with a good head. Kind of a funky aroma, flowers, corriander, ginger and some spices. Taste is a slight tartness, some flower but not perfume, ginger, and spices. Very enjoyable and unique, taste wise. Texture is light, fluffy and dry. Overall, nice beer from new glarus. Thanks lithy for sending this one my way
