Mine had a small fizzy head on it that went away almost immediately. No lacing. Nice nose. It is pretty much tart raspberry and not much else. There is a good body to it, but still a lighter mouthfeel. There is some effervescence in your mouth. The taste is mainly tart raspberries, but it is not overpowering. It is very unique. It is almost hard to classify this as a beer, but it is very good none the less. I would definitely buy this one again. Tweety (344), Vancouver, Washington, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 13, 2009 Source: 750 mL waxed bottle in a trade with illinismitty. Appearance: Cloudy red color with a two finger pink head. Head quckly dissipated and left spotty lacing. Aroma: Raspberries, residual sugars and booberries. Flavor: The flavor was very tart raspberry. There wasn’t much else. No bitter finish, just mouth puckering raspberry. Palate: Medium/full body and full, chewy mouthfeel. This was a surprisingly heavy beer. Overall: This was great for a fruit beer. I was concerned about the potential for a bottle of medicine, but this didn’t disappoint.

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 13, 2009 Pours out a slushy red. Aroma of raspberries, and goodness. Flavor is super sweet, and full of raspberries, a bit tart and puckering... it’s like a liquid raspberry pie without the seeds. ElJefe (553), Rochester, New York, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Apr 12, 2009 Updated: May 4, 2009Pours a murky brownish red with a small pink head. Fresh red raspberries dominates the aroma, just a faint whiff of oak and yeast peek through every now and then. Flavor is as expected - this beer is just bursting with tart raspberries. A touch of oak and maybe just a hint of floral hops in the finish. Substantial body, yet quite effervescent at the same time. A wonderful beer, but obviously only if you like raspberries. | 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Apr 8, 2009 Beautiful amber red pour with a light rim of creamy foam. Aroma of yeast, deep ripe berries and fresh bread. This would be prefect for a brunch. Nice and spritzy while retaining a solid mouthfeel. The beer is the essence of eating fresh toasted brown grain bread with the boldest raspberry jam. An absolute gem. BillKismet (1952), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 5, 2009 Warm, rubescent-amber with ring of head. Rich, sugared raspberry swarms the olfactory sense. Sweet, sticky, sugary raspberry flavors. Lots of residual sugar. Pure raspberry flavor, no real tartness or off-flavors. Ok in 2-3 oz doses, but otherwise, cloying and un-balanced. A dessert beer and nothing else. Liquid, carbonated raspberry preserves. Raspberry madness for sure. sigma23 (236), , Maine, USA
