Commercial Description:
The voluminous raspberry bouquet will greet you long before your lips touch your glass. Serve this Wisconsin framboise very cold in a champagne flute. Then hold your glass to a light and enjoy the jewel-like sparkle of a very special ale. Oregon proudly shares their harvest of mouth-watering berries, which we ferment spontaneously in large oak vats. Then we employ Wisconsin farmed wheat and year old Hallertau hops to round out this extravaganza of flavor.

Bottle, courtesy of nflmvp, thanks Steve! Pours a plummish color with a nice pinkish white head that drifts to a ring, minimal lacing. As expected, aroma is raspberries, and boy do they smell good! Flavor pulls it off nicely, with just enough tartness and sweet without being overdone. Palate is also very complimentary for this style, clean, crisp and lighter with moderate carbonation. Wow, does NG sure know how to do the fruit beers, and this is the perfect elixir for a hot, muggy summer night!

Bottled (thanks Ruth!). Dark murky red colour with mediumsized pink head. Aroma is nice raspberries with some slight sourness. Flavour is sour raspberries along with some vanilla. Very mouthdrying. Some slight nutty hints in the finish. Really nicely done sour fruitbeer.

Bottle @ Chris_o shindig 2007. Deep red color with a average, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, light red head. Aroma is moderate to heavy raspberry. Flavor is moderate sweet and light acidic, with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft.

Bottle trade from shigadeyo. Poured raspbeery color with a small head that diminished quickly with minimal lacing. Heavy raspberry aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture. Strong tart raspberry flavor with a sweet long finish. My expectations where not met.

I don’t drink a lot of lambic. Too sweet for my taste---and I do have a sweet tooth. But this may change that! Very sweet, but not too much. But very, very good. This pours with an intense red color, strawberry lace, and raspberry aroma. As one other reviewer noted, it is so focused on the raspberries, that it is hard to write much. BUT that focus doesn’t detract from the flavor.

Bottle Chris_o Shindig. Nice pippy raspberry aroma. Bit of mustiness, but lovely fruit, lots of sour raspberry. That’s pretty good. Good jammy beer. Sweet and sickly after a while maybe.

A Mes rate: Bottle at Chris O’s Shindig. Dark, dark raspberry coloured. Pithy, tarty and sweet aroma. Nice enough but just too sweet for me. Flavour is more of the same. Nothing much to shout about except for some very lovely thick and tart raspberry juice. Mouthfeel is wonderful and creamy and lines the mouth with a sweetness that lingers briefly, then just seems to vanish, leaving you smacking your lips wanting more. The palate is the best thing about it for me. I wanted to try this for a long long time and if I am honest, although it is undoubtedly good, I did expect it to be better.

Bottle, chris_o shindig. Ruby - copper colour with a thin off-white head. Nose is sweet raspberry, malt, red wine vinegar, mouth is not too sour, not too sweet. Little sour, balances out with the sweet though. Sourness struggles through to the end. Balanced with that sweetness all the way. Very good.
