Sweet cookie’ish raspberry aroma with somewhat odd yeast notes. Flavour is obviously raspberry but with earhy notes, cookies and other dessert related sweet flavours. The beer ends with a nice light bittersweet and rather tart flavour that reminds me of the seeds in freshly picked raspberrys. Body is quite full with very finetuned carbonation. hirigalzkar (601), Stockholm, Sweden

Pours dark blood red
Heavy aroma of raspberries and chewing gum.
Slightly sour but mainly sweet, I found it better when it got warmer even though it was supposed to be served cold. RollinHard (763), Fort Worth, Texas, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 7, 2009 Red pour with orange highlights and an off-pink head. Aroma is extremely fresh and fruit-driven, pretty intense. Taste follows suit with extreme fruit flavors, and a little sweet malt. I’m reminded of flemish sours if you remove the "sour" part and add more fruit. Medium to light bodied, but very flavorful. Good! craftbeerdesign (768), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 3, 2009 sample from the pitcher at GABF on 9/26/09... light red color with a white head... sweet raspberry aroma and flavors... sweet but balanced... tart finish... I liked this one better than the Belgian Red. elihapa (1071), Honolulu, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 30, 2009 Poured at 2009 GABF, sampled twice for good measure. In short, I think I expected much more of a Sour Ale here, so the fruity-sweetness of it all was disappointing. Nose is sweet berries and sugar with a hint of sourness and herbs. Flavor starts off initially semi-tart berries, but quickly sweetens and smooths out into candied raspberries. I’m just not getting the hype here. I tried so many delicious Fruit-influenced Sour Ales at GABF 2009, this offering just seemed muted, and average by comparison. However, I could see that with no predilections about this beer, it certainly reveals itself as something quite decent.
