Commercial Description:
The voluminous raspberry bouquet will greet you long before your lips touch your glass. Serve this Wisconsin framboise very cold in a champagne flute. Then hold your glass to a light and enjoy the jewel-like sparkle of a very special ale. Oregon proudly shares their harvest of mouth-watering berries, which we ferment spontaneously in large oak vats. Then we employ Wisconsin farmed wheat and year old Hallertau hops to round out this extravaganza of flavor.

Brick red with redish white small head. Nose is all raspberry. Flavor is raspberry up front with a nice mouthfeel. Finish is acidic, almost tomato juice like, with the acid from the berries. Beautiful beer in this one.

Bottle from some kind bastard I can’t remember? Dark red("raspberry red"!) in color with small light pink head. Fantastic raspberry in the aroma and taste. Just damn good. Pretty damn sweet. Actually fairly thick and syrupy compared to what I expected. Perfect with good dark chocolate.

Bottle thanks to pantanap. Dark red body with white, pinkish-hued head. Wonderfully blended aroma of sweet and tart raspberries. Flavor starts out as sweet raspberries but is balanced with a subtle oakiness and finishes with a slightly mouth-puckering tartness.

Cloudy dark ruby color with small head. Strong raspberry aroma. Tatse was like Belgian red only rasperry instead of cherries. prickly carbonation. Good beer, just not as good as Belgian Red.

Bottle thanks to Notalush poured a cloudy pinkish/red color with a tiny pink head. The aroma was huge rasperries with a sour tartness. Flavor was a puckering raspberry with a bit of oak making it highly drinkable. The sour tartness fades as the temp. goes up. Ive got to say this is the best fruit beer hands down. Thanks for sharing.

Chicago Trip. 17:20. Small bottle in the hotel in Madison. Raspberry parfait in a glass. Thick dark pink head on a red beer. At first raspberry jam nose then deeper like cooking raspberries before it gets to be jam. Pure raspberry juice. No alcohol presence. Just fresh raspberry taste. Leaves tart seeds in your teeth. A sipper. Had a large bottle back home. A thinner body. More like beer. Even nice when warmed in the microwave.

Shared with presario, Tipsy_Mcstager, and ChineseHercules. Pours a deep murky maroon with a fizzy pink head. The carbonation is champagne-like and tickles your nose as you contemplate the aroma. This smells like you’ve picked up a handful of fresh raspberries and crushed them in your fist-- fresh, sour, juicy. Pure raspberry juiciness dominates the palate, but it is far from one-dimensional. Several key elements elevate this beer into something unique and special-- a fresh sour-tartness that perfectly balances the fruit juice sweetness; an ephemeral stemmy-leafy quality that imparts both an earthiness and a bitterness that keep this tasting real and not candyish, and most importantly the delicate and lively carbonation keeps it alive on the tongue. This style is hit-and-miss for me, but this is definitely among the finest fruit beers I have ever had, and one that is worth seeking out. I agree with presario that this would be fun to try mulled, and then on another occasion, over ice.
