Commercial Description:
The voluminous raspberry bouquet will greet you long before your lips touch your glass. Serve this Wisconsin framboise very cold in a champagne flute. Then hold your glass to a light and enjoy the jewel-like sparkle of a very special ale. Oregon proudly shares their harvest of mouth-watering berries, which we ferment spontaneously in large oak vats. Then we employ Wisconsin farmed wheat and year old Hallertau hops to round out this extravaganza of flavor.

750ml. can’t say that i’m the biggest fan of fruit beer but this was a mighty fine offering by NG. Poured a deep red with a thin pink head. Aroma was, you guessed it, full of raspberries and the taste was very much of the same. Sweet, tart, and goes down well. Extremely drinkable.

There are three things to keep in mind if you are reading this review. <P> 1. I am normally not super fond of fruit beers in general.
2. I don’t like raspberries.
3. I purchased this for my wife who loves the Belgian Red.

That said, I thought this was not bad. Definitely tart raspberry aroma. Color is a violet/red with minimal head (similar to Belgian Red in that way). That is the main flavor as well. A dessert beer that I can appreciate, just not necessarily my cup of tea. Both my wife and I liked the Belgian Red slightly better, but thought this was pretty decent. Good to know if I’m ever in Wisconsin, I can pick up a beer that she enjoys.

(Bottle) Pours a red color, with nice sparkling carbonation. Excellent aroma full of raspberry with a touch of vanilla. Very well balanced, not quite as sour as I expected. Amazing flavor that is much like something you would expect from the aroma. A very high quality beer overall.

Courtesy of MIBRomeo. Thanks! After i’ve had the Belgian Red i wanted to try this. Very sweet Rasberry smell, smells great. Very sweet, medium bodied, smooth, and just a nice beer. Wish i had eaten it with a cheescake or some other desert, but hey, work with what ya got. Overall a very good beer, but just like the belgian red, i think it would be hard to drink more than 6 oz of this because of the sweetness.

Bottle, thanks to iowaherkeye. Pours a delicious deep purple color with a thick pink head. Aromas of fresh raspberries...and thats about it. Very sour, tart raspberry flavor, very refreshing. I could drink a lot of this. Great bubbly, yet coating mouthfeel. A wonderful beer.

Raspberry Tart is a serious fruit beer but with a low alcohol content. Looks just like a Cabernet wine except with a low foamy light pink head that laced the glass to the finish. Aroma is exactly what the name implies, strong black raspberry with a touch of hops. The flavor, again, is just as the name implies, strong, sweet black raspberry with a touch of hops, yeast, oak, and carbonation. Overall tart and sweet. I found this Rasberry Tart very fun to drink.
