Aroma was of a lot of roastiness and chocolate. Taste was a light sweetness with some chocolate. It seems like there may be some bakers chocolate that leads to a little bitterness. shp555 (1690), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Pours black with a tiny thin light brown head. Aroma is strange, strong coffee and a little malt. The taste is quite bitter and very very carbonated, this is an odd sweet stout, strange indeed. intersting. eaglefan538 (2400), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 13, 2007 Bottle thanks to bockyhorsey! Poured a deep dark black, maybe some brown in there, no mahoganey edges. Initial head was generous, yet not well sustaining, thins to a small covering, lots of carbonation action going on. The aroma was coffee first then chocolate, some bitterness actually there. The flavor was pretty tasty, a nice coffee and chocolate melding, definite oat presence to dry this sucker out, even gave it a rather thin mouthfeel, completely unexpected from the color and pour. Mouthfeel was amply carbonated, dry, yet a bit thin, especially within style. Thanks again, Bill! robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA

A: Pours near-jet black with a smallish creamy head that disappears on me quick. Leaves nice lacing though.
S: Smells like fresh-baked oatmeal cookies and a dash of brown sugar maltiness. Very little hops to speak of.
T/M: Mmmmm! Delicious, though the flavors don’t match the aroma profile, this brew drinks like a creamy cup of iced mocha coffee. Lots of roasted bittersweet flavors. Soft, creamy consistency and a short but intense finish of dark chocolate.
D: This is a very easy beer to drink, and one I’d go back to again if I had access to them. Recommended. joebrew (608), Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA

Nice chocolatty nose, with a sweet and slightly smokey nose. Great flavor of almost chocolate covered toffee. There is also a good dose of roasted malt and coffee. Very nice beer.
