| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 21, 2008 Pours a murky deep brown, a little bit lighter in color than I am used to seeing in a stout, but it kind of does live ip to its name in looking like road slush. You know how snow gets when its on the side of the road. Sports a small wispy off white head. Roasted caramel in the nose, with a strong amount of roastiness throughout and a light bit of dark fruits. This would go great at a camp fire eating s’mores. Matches the malt profile with graham cracker maltiness, and a chewy sometimes acrid roastiness, and a ligh level of carbonation. Mellows as it warms, and it quite pleasant to drink. Thanks to Jbuzz for the bottle! Tmoney99 (4792), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 17, 2008 Bottle. Poured a dark brown color with a large brown frothy head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Medium to heavy complex toasted malty aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture. Medium to heavy roasted balanced flavor with a medium to heavy roasted dark chocolate finish of moderate duration. This is a solid brew. HonkeyBra (1373), Lemont, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 16, 2008 Pours a reddish brown color. The head was tan, dissipated rather quickly. Some lacing on the glass. Aroma is baked chocolate, smokey, roasted malts. Taste is mostly chocolate and coffee. Body is what i’d expect from an oatmeal stout: thinner and lighter than a regular stout, very smooth and sweet with a bitter finish. Pretty good stout. GeneralGao (3072), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 15, 2008 12oz bottle. Poured a deep dark brown color with orange light just barely shining through. The head was light tan and retained its height fairly well. There was some lace on the glass at the end. Attractive aroma of chocolate brownie and roasted nuts. Medium bodied and a little chalky. Delicately sweet. Big roasted malt flavor up front that tapered gradually toward the finish. Mostly coffee-ish and chocolate flavors with a hint of roasty bitterness at the end. Good stuff. travita (1970), Frisco, Texas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 15, 2008 Coffee and roast in the smell with maybe some corn torillas and malts. Brown to black in color, clear, with an ok head. Roasty and coffee in the taste. Decent but not great. esjaygee (1581), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA
