Commercial Description:
This dark ale is a hearty and satisfying reward for those of us who embrace the frozen tundra. Uncut oatmeal fresh from Chilton, Wisconsin gives this Stout a "sink into it" smoothness that slides you into its depth. Handcrafted English Chocolate malt and Wisconsin Victory malt combine to balance this robust ale. Expect this ale to pour a luxurious rich head over a rich black ruby body. The powerful malt bouquet will greet you as you tip this silky smoothness from your glass. Our Oatmeal Stout is handcrafted in the time-honored traditions. Serve just above room temperature and relax -- road construction season will soon return.

Bottle, thanks to Bu11zeye.....I have rated this beer 1 point higher all around since I had Mikkeller Black before this, it numbed my tounge and made everything taste weak......Ok, here we go....Poured a semi black, mostly ruby color. Aroma had a nice malty smell and fuity notes. Flavor of dark roast and dark fruit. Medium body with medium carbonation......over all, pretty good I think.

Pours a deep black colour with a full tan head. Great chocolatey character with sweet, rich roasted malts. Aroma of burnt coffee, toast and fresh brownies. Cocoa aroma is evident, but the taste is very subtle. Very smooth and delightful.

Courtesy Petrucci914. Pours a reddish black, slightly thin, with a thick white head. Coffee and silky oatmeal aroma. Taste has a lot of coffee bite and is balanced nicely by the smoothness of the oats. Also a hint of chocolate in there. Kind of a soda like mouth feel. Finishes with a hint of coffee.

Dark, red color with a tan head that laces nicely. Lots of roasted malt on the nose with coffee, and the taste is pretty much the same. Creamy with a bitter finish, but seems a little thin.

12oz bottle-A black body with a small tan covering for a head. This brew has an aroma of roasted malt, coffee, slight bacon, and chocolate. Flavors of coffee, roasted malt, smoke, chocolate, and finshes a little bitter and dry. A nice stout but I feel a little thin and watery.

A delicous stout! Pours with not a whole lot of head (but still leaves a bit of lace), and a deep brown color that is somewhat translucent when held up to the light. The aroma is of deep roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, and light hop fruity aromas. The flavor is fantasic with a fully satisfying roasty malt flavor, complimented with dried fruit, chocolate, oats, and licorice. Well balanced with a plesant hop bitterness. Palate is creamy and full.
