Aroma had a nice malty smell and fuity notes. Flavor of dark roast and dark fruit. Medium body with medium carbonation......over all, pretty good I think. phishpond417 (1953), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

Great chocolatey character with sweet, rich roasted malts. Aroma of burnt coffee, toast and fresh brownies. Cocoa aroma is evident, but the taste is very subtle. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 10, 2008 Courtesy Petrucci914. Pours a reddish black, slightly thin, with a thick white head. Coffee and silky oatmeal aroma. Taste has a lot of coffee bite and is balanced nicely by the smoothness of the oats. Also a hint of chocolate in there. Kind of a soda like mouth feel. Finishes with a hint of coffee. CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA

Lots of roasted malt on the nose with coffee, and the taste is pretty much the same. Creamy with a bitter finish, but seems a little thin. Headbanger (1595), Aurora, Illinois, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 28, 2008 A delicous stout!
Pours with not a whole lot of head (but still leaves a bit of lace), and a deep brown color that is somewhat translucent when held up to the light. The aroma is of deep roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, and light hop fruity aromas. The flavor is fantasic with a fully satisfying roasty malt flavor, complimented with dried fruit, chocolate, oats, and licorice. Well balanced with a plesant hop bitterness.
Palate is creamy and full.
