Commercial Description:
This authentic amber Irish ale is slow brewed with a blend of three malted barleys and finished with four varieties of hops. Then we dry-hopped in the lager tank to add a spicy note to warm your winter evenings. Expect this beer to be a beautiful copper-red, with a fruity ale body and a spiced hop finish.

One of the Tastiest Amber Ales I’ve ever tried! Pours a deep cloudy reddish brown. The beer has a nice fluffy head. The aroma is of spicy hops with some roasty aromas as well. For as much hops as is apparently in there this is one very malty beer. This is however not malty in a fruity, or sweet way at all. This beer is a very dry and plesant beer, with lots of roasted malt flavor with a bit of carmel flavor as well, with a nice bitterness.

Bottle from Steve’s. Copper body, white head with nice lacing. Nose is fruity caramel malts, some meladonins, a bit of English hops. Flavor is a rich malt up front, and then a bitter, almost astringent tone comes in. A hint of burnt malt before the really nice caramel & malt finish. A strange beast.

Thanks to iowaherkeye for this one - clear amber beer, with almost no head - a rather spicy nose, with fruity notes of strawberry, cherry, orange - some floral notes as well - medium-bodied and creamy - biscuity, with mild, but ambiguous fruitiness - a nice combination of hops and peppery spices - some herbal, tea-like flavors - finishes with some mineral and strong spices - quite a nice amber ale.

Pours copper with a white head. Smells of rich spices, oranges, roses, some pepper. Tastes of citrus, some spices, tea, earth, hints of pepper. Mouthfeel is full with an earthy finish.

Amber color with a very light tan head, good lacing. Smell is a little sweet, with a faint hop presence and some spicy notes also. Taste is very bready and doughy. Maybe a little spice of banana but none of the hops that I was hoping for. This is definately the best amber I’ve had. but still overall nothing earth shattering.

(Bottle) Pours a deep copper color, with a quickly fading off-white head. Heavy toasted malty backbone in the flavor, which included toffee and caramel. The aroma was slightly more subtle, with hints of vanilla and hazelnut. I didn’t taste much in the way of hops, but the beer was still pretty evenly balanced. Average carbonation and very good mouthfeel. Better than most ambers!

Bottle from discount liquors in Milwaukee. Dark red rust color that is some what cloudy with a medium biege head. Aroma is dry malt, yeast and dirty noble hops. Spicy hops over grainy dark malt, slight banana and orange, some yeast. Medium creamy body. Not bad for an amber but not my favorite style.

Bottle thanks to Kristine: Pours a clear copper with a white head. Aroma, toffee, caramel, some grassy notes, bready. Flavor, grassy and herbal notes, caramel and toffee, dry and toasty on the finish, some fruits in the background.
