Commercial Description:
This authentic amber Irish ale is slow brewed with a blend of three malted barleys and finished with four varieties of hops. Then we dry-hopped in the lager tank to add a spicy note to warm your winter evenings. Expect this beer to be a beautiful copper-red, with a fruity ale body and a spiced hop finish.

Bottle from discount liquors in Milwaukee. Dark red rust color that is some what cloudy with a medium biege head. Aroma is dry malt, yeast and dirty noble hops. Spicy hops over grainy dark malt, slight banana and orange, some yeast. Medium creamy body. Not bad for an amber but not my favorite style.

Bottle thanks to Kristine: Pours a clear copper with a white head. Aroma, toffee, caramel, some grassy notes, bready. Flavor, grassy and herbal notes, caramel and toffee, dry and toasty on the finish, some fruits in the background.

Big malty taste: bran muffins, bread, and oatmeal. Rich, roasted notes, but not really a dark beer taste. A little fruit in the middle: apples and grapes. Pepper and more malt in the finish. Slight musty alcohol aftertaste. Hops seems absent, I can’t find them anywhere.

Beer pours a beautiful copper red color with a small head that fades somewhat fast and leaves a very nice lacing along the edge. Aroma is very malty with a slight fruity scent to it as well. Very good malty taste surrounds the mouth with a very late fruity taste followed by a good dryness on the tongue. Very good mouth feel. After every sip noticed a good upwelling of carbonation in my glass. This beer overall is a very good beer and is something I will definitely pick up to enjoy all over again.

The Dan Journal #160. Tasted 3/24/08. 12oz bottle. Filtered with a bronze hue. Nice looking beer! Tight ring of off-white head. Caramel aromas with a touch citrus. Touch honey. Mild effervescence and smooth malts. Nice sharp palate and a touch bitter.

Malt heavy Irish dark red ale -- this instantly won me over with the thoughtful fruity notes hitting me like a trumpet. As a hop head I’m still wondering how in world this got me oohing and ahhing but I guess they didn’t slack off on the hops. This is clean refreshing session like enjoyment. Really underated.

Pale copper color with fiant head. A light malty nose with faint hops on the nose. Mostly grain flavors in the body.

12 oz bottle via Mys Swap 3.0 (thanks monger!). This one pours out a clear copper with a large beige head. The aroma is just some nice basic pale malt and a clean yeast. Taste is quite nutty, toasty, and earthy with a bit of astringency in the finish, that carries through with a little chocolate and some vegetables (dms?) into the somewhat metallic aftertaste....Body is light/medium, carbonation is moderate/high. Not too crazy about the NG beers i have sampled recently...
