Commercial Description:
Solstice Weiss is gently brewed, in the time honored tradition, using 60% malted wheat and a triple fermentation. This is a true Bavarian style Weiss bier. “Weiss” means white in Bavaria, which refers to the yeast that remains in our unfiltered bier. Note the brilliant white froth and subdued golden hue. Expect this bier to have a soft champagne like quality, complemented by a wheat character that sparkles with fruity tones.

The aroma is a very nice banana and clove. Color is pumpkin orange, opaque, with a nice head. The flavor is excellent german wheat -- the best I’ve ever had. Outstanding wheat.

Stellar weiss beer. From a bottle, this pours a cloudy amber with a thin head. Appearance isn’t that spectacular--but the taste certainly is. Full fruity, clovey wallop right off the bat. Sweet & very well-rounded. Marvelous creamy mouthfeel; carbonation is just right. This beer just rose close to the top of my ratings.

A re-rating of one of my favorites. Pours a slightly hazy-orange, with a small head that dissipates quickly. The aroma is spicy and a hint of fruit comes in. Flavor is strong and tasty, Wheat, yeast, spices, banana, malt, and citrus also come through. A simply amazing beer, and a favorite summer beer.

This may be the best weissebier out there. Cloudy yellow, white head, banana, citrus, clean, crisp and damn well made.

Outstanding unfiltered wheat. Hearty body with mild fruity taste that give this balance and character. Banana and orange seem to prevail. Overall, the best I’ve ever had.

Roaring, turbid carbonation. Citric, banana, sweet nose. Super cloudy golden bronze. Thick, perfect, vanilla cream head. Sweet, citric, all banana, vanilla, gets clovey towards the end. Great body, superbly balanced, finishes smooth and refreshing. AWESOME!

Perhaps the summer seasonal that I most look forward to. Big, fruity, subtly spicy aroma. Full, juicy malts. Dense carbonation, but still maintains a creamy, pushing-medium body. Clovey finish, very satisfying.
