Commercial Description:
Solstice Weiss is gently brewed, in the time honored tradition, using 60% malted wheat and a triple fermentation. This is a true Bavarian style Weiss bier. “Weiss” means white in Bavaria, which refers to the yeast that remains in our unfiltered bier. Note the brilliant white froth and subdued golden hue. Expect this bier to have a soft champagne like quality, complemented by a wheat character that sparkles with fruity tones.

Hazy brownish yellow with a large lasting white creamy head. Great aroma of spices, lemon, and wheat. Taste is a somewhat chewy spicey bubblegum. Very nice.

The star of the Light Ales/Lagers tasting in Chicago. Very turbid appearance - my style of wheat beer already! Large banana, vanilla aroma. Sweet and dessert-like. Rich sweet malts, all (good) kinds of phenols. Slightly spicy finish. Moderate-sized, slightly creamy body. Brilliant balance.

(RBSG2003): Creamy banana body with small white head. Aroma is banana, moderately sweet, wheat, yeast, light clove, medium lemon. Taste is lemon/banana, good yeast, light wheat. Medium lemon acidity, light body.

RateBeer Summer 2003: Cloudy yellow appearance, big flowery clove aroma, citrus taste. Ends strong with a good flavor throughout. An excellent German Wheat beer.

Big, huge wheat. Gorgeous bouquet of clove and banana. Ultra cloudy with thin lasting head atop a beautiful body. Full mouthfeel. A great beer and probably the best German Wheat I have ever had.

Wow this is something to wrap yer head around. I had a glass from a growler that was taken straight from the tank and it was amazing. All kinds of good phenolics in there with hits of clove, lactic twinge (sour wort?)bananna esters, oranges? Really nice carbonation levels! Way to go Dan and Deb !!

Nice cloudy pour produces a frothy head. Aroma of cloves dominates. Flavor is less clove and more banana. Finish is more sweet.

Hazy light orange in color. Tartness and sourness are there; can definitely taste the wheat malt--good palate. Overall good but something odd about this beer. Lets just say it is unique.
