Commercial Description:
Solstice Weiss is gently brewed, in the time honored tradition, using 60% malted wheat and a triple fermentation. This is a true Bavarian style Weiss bier. “Weiss” means white in Bavaria, which refers to the yeast that remains in our unfiltered bier. Note the brilliant white froth and subdued golden hue. Expect this bier to have a soft champagne like quality, complemented by a wheat character that sparkles with fruity tones.

Light hazy orange/yellow in my glass. Wispy head. The aroma had syrupy banana bread and spice. Wow, what a flavor! Very fruity (cotton candy like) with banana, clove (and other spice) and honey. Syrupy body, lingering. My wife thought it had a hint of cinnamon, coriander, and bananas. She also noted an orange flavor at the finish. We both liked it.

Solid all around - Hazy pale yellow, with a sizey whaite head. Really nice lemon custard aroma. Familiar wheat flavors - notes of vanilla, banana, bubblegum - blended together in a smooth, slightly viscous palate. Really tasty.

Hazy gold-copper hue with a frothy, eggshell head. Wonderfull real bubble gum and fresh banana aroma. Nice wheat presence in the aroma. Moderately sweet, lightly acidic flavor becomes a moderately sweet, lightly acidic finish. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. The bottom line is: pretty good, but there are some better German examples out there.

Sweeeeeeeet. A bubblegum/cloves explosion with a smallish white head and a body so deep sunshine yellow it was glowing. Mouthfeel round but body a bit thin. Tad cloying towards the end of the glass. Leaves a bubblegum aftertaste. Aroma bubblegum, pears, cloves, and dough. Taste same with hints of vanilla and deep, massive, candied fruit sweetness. I like sweet weizens. Others may not. But for me this rocked.

A hazy orange beer with a fine white head. The aroma is of yeast, wheat, and peach - I don’t remember that before in a Weizen. The flavor has very strong notes of peach, but also notes of the wheat and yeast. And the body is thin. I don’t like peach in my wheat beer - maybe it is what others describe as bubblegum - so this is not really my game.

bottle from bbb63, yellow to orange color with a fizzy white head, body is full of carbonation. aroma is sweet, apricot and banana were the 2 things that got my attention. very light mouthfeel, crisp and refreshing, typical wheat sweetness is complemented by a slight sugary taste as well as alot of the banana tones from the aroma. aftertaste has the sugary character, you can even taste it on your lips afterward. i can see this beer going either way, depending on your feel for the sweetness, as it VERY sweet, but not tart or tangy, but i for one enjoyed it as a nice refreshing beer to cool down with for the evening.
