Commercial Description:
Solstice Weiss is gently brewed, in the time honored tradition, using 60% malted wheat and a triple fermentation. This is a true Bavarian style Weiss bier. “Weiss” means white in Bavaria, which refers to the yeast that remains in our unfiltered bier. Note the brilliant white froth and subdued golden hue. Expect this bier to have a soft champagne like quality, complemented by a wheat character that sparkles with fruity tones.

A truly lovely and beautiful hefe. Intriguing color, instead of the usual cloudy light yellow it’s a slightly hazy deep gold with visible particulate matter. Thin white head, but nicely sticky with good lacing. Nose has loads of clove, some banana, nice fruitiness. Lovely flavor, some banana and clove, but bubblegum sweetness predominates here. Vaguely toasty, lots of bready malts, leaves a nice crispness in the mouth. Wonderfully soft and inviting palate, slides pleasingly down the throat. All in all, an excellent, excellent hefe.

Crystal clear gold with a high level of carbonation. No head or lacing really. Sweet fruity esters in the nose. Banana mostly. Clove mixes in with a spicy touch. There is just a hint of bitter hops about. The bitter hops flood the mouth along with a healthy dose of citrus. The banana esters are about again with some more spices and grassy hops. Prickly palate that ends with a sharp, almost acidic bite.

Short speckled head with some lacing. Pillars of tiny bubbles rise to the top. Misty sunset orange color. Nose of clean fruity wheat, plums, peaches & canteloupe. Taste is creamy with a light sweetness & more fruit. The wheat is very fainy & the hops & yeast do most of the talking. Interesting German hefeweizen.

Pours a cloudy amber color as would be expected. The large white head dissipates quickly. The aroma is of very large bananas and vanilla beans, damn this is exceptional. Nice creamy body..very smooth. Franziskaner and Paulaner have got nothing on this ale. Sweet and dessert-like. Rich and delicious sweet malts, all (good) kinds of phenols. Very well balanced and has a tinge of spice in the finish. Thanks again DavidP for another winner.

Clear gold color with a white head. Great smell: bubble gum, banana, yeasty. Sweet wheaty, bubble gum and banana flavors. It even finished off sweet. I had this last summer and remember it tasting better. Perhaps this beer needs a warm summer day.

Hazy golden color with a large white head. Nice sweet banana and clove aroma. Sweet clove, banana, malt and bread flavors. Fairly crisp feel with a semi-dry finish.

Golden color with a large white head. The aroma was strong with bananas and clove...a nice dough character. The flavor wasvery nice...bananas, clove, yeasty/doughy/bready goodness. The feel was quite crisp and refreshing...semi-dry finish. Thanks Mike!

Golden orange with a thick white head, nice carbonation. Aroma is strong with oranges, banana, and sweet candy. Strong banana flavors, hints of citrus, well balanced, and refreshing.
